This train was first inaugurated on July-12-2012 From Secunderabad Junction to Mancherial. Later Extended to Bellampally & Then Extended Till Sirpur Kaghaznagar. [2]

The 12759 / 12760 Charminar Express is a very popular train operating between the metropolitan cities, Chennai and Hyderabad. From November 2020, it was extended to Tambaram instead of Chennai Central having additional stoppage at Chennai Egmore, without touching Chennai Central. Now it runs between Chennai Tambaram and Hyderabad Deccan via Chennai Egmore.
Secunderabad Junction is a major intercity junction railway station and a commuter rail hub in the Hyderabad urban area. Built in 1874 by the Nizam of Hyderabad during the British era, it was the main station of Nizam's Guaranteed State Railway until the Kacheguda railway station opened in 1916. The train service was first commissioned by then Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu on 12 August 2015 as Andhra Pradesh AC Express. Later in the year 2020 Non-AC Sleeper Coaches were attached to this train which renamed this train as Andhra Pradesh Express. This train is named after the state Andhra Pradesh, as previously when Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states were combined, this train used to run from Hyderabad Deccan to New Delhi.
