The Jolla Tablet is a product that was the first tablet designed by Jolla running the company's Sailfish OS, a Linux-based OS built around the Mer (a fork of MeeGo) software components. [2]

In a successfully completed crowdfunding campaign, over US$2.5 million had been raised from 21,633 backers. [1] Between the campaign and the launch, some originally specified parts became unavailable. The product was further developed to incorporate different parts and consequently the release schedule was delayed by five months. Shortly after the first units were shipped, the product was cancelled as Jolla Oy faced financial difficulties, with remaining units shipped provisionally in 2016.
