Kangqiao forms part of suburban Shanghai and has a land area of 41.25 km2 (15.93 sq mi) and is a subdistrict of Pudong. At the Sixth National Census [1] the population of Kangqiao stood at 174,672.

It is mostly a residential and commercial district, though it is also home to some of the many factories and production facilities in Shanghai. The Shanghai Disney Resort is located on the outskirts of Kangqiao, and Kangqiao is also home to IKEA and the Holiday Inn Kangqiao, with a cantilevered swimming pool on the top floor.[ citation needed ]

Kangqiao is located 10 km from the city centre and is accessible via the Hunan Highway in 30 minutes. [5]

Shops & restaurants

In Kangqiao, businesses have been started by both Chinese nationals and foreigners. The 'Kangqiao Riviera' hosts Sebastian's French, Bakerhaus Bakery, [7] Mata Mata Bakery and RT Mart. KFC, McDonald's, Yoshinoya are also located in Kangqiao near the Riviera.

The largest hotel in the area is the flagship Holiday Inn, [8] with its cantilevered glass swimming pool hanging 24 stories over the street. [9]

Attractions

Kangqiao is home to the Kangqiao Taoist Temple. [10] Built before the Sino-Japanese War, it was soon destroyed and remained this way during the Cultural Revolution. In 1993 the main hall was rebuilt, with final reconstruction taking place in 1997. Entry to the Temple costs 20RMB.

Shanghai Shenhua F.C. has its home base and training grounds in Kangqiao, on Hunan Road.

Lengshuijiang is a county-level city in Hunan Province, China, it is under the administration of Loudi prefecture-level City. Located in central Hunan, the city is bordered to the north and west by Xinhua County, to the south by Xinshao County, to the east by Lianyuan City. Lengshuijiang City covers 439 km2 (169 sq mi). As of 2015, it has a registered population of 370,300 and a resident population of 342,700. The city has four subdistricts, five towns and a township under its jurisdiction, the government seat is Lengshuijiang Subdistrict (冷水江街道).

Line 2 (Shanghai Metro) East-west line of the Shanghai Metro network

Line 2 is an east–west line in the Shanghai Metro network. With a length of nearly 64 km (40 mi), it is the second longest line in the metro system after line 11. Line 2 runs from East Xujing in the west to Pudong International Airport in the east, passing Hongqiao Airport, the Huangpu river, and the Lujiazui Financial District in Pudong. With a daily ridership of almost 1.5 million, it is the Shanghai Metro's busiest metro line. The eastern portion of the line, from Guanglan Road to Pudong International Airport, was once operated almost independently from the main segment until April 18, 2019, while through service between these two started the next day. The line is colored light green on system maps.

Line 13 (Shanghai Metro)

Line 13 is a north-west to south-east line of the Shanghai Metro network. It runs between Jinyun Road in Jiading and Zhangjiang Road in Pudong. It was once used as a dedicated line for the World Expo to serve the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. The line is colored pink on system maps.

Line 16 (Shanghai Metro)

Line 16 is a rapid transit line serving the south-eastern suburban areas of Shanghai. The line was formerly known as the Lingang line. It was originally designated as Line 21 and was planned as the south part of line 11. The line runs entirely in Pudong New Area, starting from Longyang Road, via Shanghai Wild Animal Park, Huinan Town, ending at Dishui Lake in Nanhui New City. The line is 59 km (37 mi) long and has 13 stations of which three are underground and the rest elevated. Construction begun in early 2009, and the line opened on 29 December 2013. The second phase was completed at the end of 2014.

The Shanghai Oriental Sports Centre, also known as the Shanghai Aquatic Sports Center, is a sports venue that started construction on December 30, 2008, and was completed in late 2010.

In November 2017, Zhou released his debut album 深的深, a co-creation with producer Gao Xiaosong, songwriter Yin Yue, and composer Qian Lei. He has performed for many TV series and Chinese animation films such as Big Fish & Begonia, Dahufa, and Crystal Sky of Yesterday, among others. In 2020, Zhou Shen won first place for his performance of the song "Da La Beng Ba" in the show Singer 2020, imitating multiple voices, including that of a little girl and a man. By April 2020, this performance clip's view count on Bilibili had exceeded 10 million, surpassing that of the original song; after the song was released on Netease Cloud Music, it dominated the chart for several days, and the single has been played over 100 million times, and has been on top of Chinese search engines.

Shanghai Rail Transit Rail transit lines operating in Shanghai
