Air South was a low-cost airline from the United States, headquartered in Columbia, South Carolina. Between 1994 and 1997, it offered domestic flights mainly serving the southeast of the country. For a time, a partnership with Kiwi International Air Lines was maintained.

Meridiana Fly S.p.A., operating as Meridiana, was a privately owned Italian airline headquartered in Olbia with its main base at Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport. It operated scheduled and charter flights to domestic, European and intercontinental destinations from several Italian bases. Some of its operations were carried out by the old Air Italy under the Meridiana brand. It was owned by Qatar Airways through AQA Holding (49%) and Alisarda S.p.A. (51%), who rebranded the airline as the new Air Italy effective 1 March 2018.

As of 2023, Delta Air Lines is the largest by revenue, assets value and market capitalization; American Airlines Group by passengers carried, revenue passenger mile, fleet size, numbers of employees and destinations served; FedEx Express by freight tonne-kilometers; Ryanair by number of routes; and Turkish Airlines by number of countries served.

Alisea Airlines was a charter airline based in Italy, which was established in 1999 as Italfly. Flight operations only took place during a brief period between 2002 and 2003.

C.A.I. First S.p.A. was an Italian airline operating flights for its parent company, Alitalia, to preserve slots at Milan Linate Airport. For this reason Alitalia when merged with Air One didn't close C.A.I. First, which at that time still operated as Alitalia Express. It used to have bases at Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport in Rome and Malpensa Airport in Milan. C.A.I. First was dissolved and merged into Alitalia mainline by February 2015.

Air Nigeria was the national flag carrier of Nigeria, which operated scheduled regional and domestic passenger services. The airline's base was Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Ikeja, its head office was in Lagos Island, Lagos, and its registered office was in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Aerovías is a defunct private passenger and cargo airline formerly based in Guatemala La Aurora International Airport founded by Jimmy K Hall. It was the first private airline in Guatemala. It was operational between 1977 and 1998. While one of their Heralds 206s aircraft was stored at La Aurora International Airport, their two Aérospatiale N 262s went to RACSA airlines.

Air Bee S.p.A. was an airline based in Rome, Italy. The airline has suspended operations on 11 September 2008 but has announced plans to possibly restart operations by the end of the month without providing further details on its planned route network should operations resume. The entrepreneur Robert Clarke owns the airbee.com domain having purchased from the liquidator. The URL is currently for sale on afternic.

Trans Executive Airlines of Hawaii is an American airline headquartered at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu, Hawaii, operating cargo flights under the name Transair and passenger air charter and tour flights under the name Transair Global. The airline was started in 1982 by Teimour Riahi. As of 2019, the airline operated a fleet of six Boeing 737-200 and four Short 360 aircraft.

United Airlines operates 924 aircraft, giving it the third largest commercial airline fleet in the world. It primarily operates a mix of Airbus and Boeing narrowbody and all Boeing widebody aircraft. As of September 2023, with an average age of 16.3 years, United has the oldest fleet of all major US airlines. Their oldest planes are the Boeing 767-300ER from the early 1990s, which are between 30 and 32 years old. However, United recently placed several orders for new narrowbody and widebody aircraft and are expecting over 700 new planes in their fleet by 2033.

Fly Pro is a Moldovan cargo charter airline established in November 2016 based at Chișinău International Airport.

Flyr AS was a short-lived Norwegian low-cost airline. Headquartered in Oslo with an operational base at Oslo Airport, Gardermoen, the airline operated flights within Norway and between Norway and European leisure destinations. Flyr ceased operations on 31 January 2023.
