The Fairchild F-27 and Fairchild Hiller FH-227 were versions of the Fokker F27 Friendship twin-engined, turboprop, passenger aircraft manufactured under license by Fairchild Hiller in the United States. The Fairchild F-27 was similar to the standard Fokker F27, while the FH-227 was an independently developed, stretched version.
Empresa Ecuatoriana de Aviación, more commonly known as simply Ecuatoriana, was the national airline of Ecuador. The carrier had an operational hiatus between September 1993 and August 1995, resuming operations on 23 June 1996, after VASP became the controlling shareholder. The airline folded permanently in 2006.
Avianca Perú S.A. was an airline based in Lima, Peru. It operated domestic services and international services. Its main base was Jorge Chávez International Airport, Lima. The airline operated out of 18 airports. It was part of the Synergy Group and operated its flights with TACA Airlines' codes. Through Synergy Group, it was one of the seven nationally branded airlines in the Avianca Holdings group of Latin American airlines. The airline ceased all operations on May 10, 2020.

An air operator's certificate (AOC) is the approval granted by a civil aviation authority (CAA) to an aircraft operator to allow it to use aircraft for commercial purposes. This requires the operator to have personnel, assets, and system in place to ensure the safety of its employees, and the general public. The certificate will list the aircraft types, and registrations to be used, for what purpose and in what area such as specific airports or geographic region.
