The parliament of the Sri Lanka has set of ministers. They are categorized either as the ministers of cabinet and non cabinet. According to the 19th amendment the number of cabinet ministers is limited to 28.
The Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) is an international organisation of seven South Asian and Southeast Asian nations, housing 1.73 billion people and having a combined gross domestic product of US$4.4 trillion (2022). The BIMSTEC member states – Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Thailand – are among the countries dependent on the Bay of Bengal.
His Excellency Mahinda Buddhadasa Samarasinghe, is a former MP and the current Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the United States of America, Mexico and High Commissioner to Trinidad and Tobago. He was formerly a member of Parliament under Gotabaya Rajapaksa's Government, and the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna chief organiser for the Panadura Electorate in the Kalutara District.

Udaya Prabath Gammanpila is a Sri Lankan nationalist politician. By profession, he is a computer engineer, lawyer and a politician. He is a former Minister of Energy and Member of Sri Lanka Parliament for Colombo District.
Mallawa Arachchige Gamini Jayawickrama Perera, MP, is a Sri Lankan politician and a member of the 15th Parliament of Sri Lanka representing Kurunegala. He is currently the Cabinet Minister of Sustainable Development and Wildlife and Minister of Buddha Sasana. He was the former Cabinet Minister of Food Protection. He was elected as the chairman of ESCAP in April 2016. He was also the Chairman of United National Party (UNP) and the former Cabinet Minister for Irrigation and Water Management.
Pelisge Harrison is a Sri Lankan United National Party politician, current member of the Parliament for Anuradhapura District current cabinet Minister of Social Empowerment and former Minister of Rural Economic Affairs. Harrison first entered parliament in 1994 from the United National Party within a few years from his graduation from the University of Kelaniya.
Dissanayaka Mudiyanselage Jayaratne, known as D. M. "Di Mu" Jayaratne, was a veteran Sri Lankan politician who was Prime Minister of Sri Lanka from 2010 to 2015. A founding member of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, Jayaratne was first elected to parliament in 1970. He was sworn in as Prime Minister on 21 April 2010.
The Rajapaksa family is a Sri Lankan family that is prominent in politics. It was one of Sri Lanka's most powerful families during Mahinda Rajapaksa's presidency, when many members of the family occupied senior positions in the Sri Lankan state. As their political power grew, there were reports suggesting that the country was heading towards autocracy under their rule. Following the unexpected defeat of Mahinda Rajapaksa in the 2015 presidential election, they have been accused of authoritarianism, corruption, nepotism and bad governance. In the 2019 presidential election, Gotabaya Rajapaksa, the brother of Mahinda Rajapaksa, ran and won. The popularity of the Rajapaksa family collapsed after their actions caused the economic crisis that started in 2019, resulting in Sri Lanka defaulting on its debt for the first time in its post-independence history within just 30 months of coming to power. The extended Rajapaksa family is believed to have amassed a large amount of wealth and while the amount of and scale is unknown several members of the family have been revealed in international investigations such as the Pandora Papers to be using networks of shell companies and trusts to hide their wealth in offshore tax havens.
Major Deshamanya Walter Geoffrey Montague "Monti" Jayawickrama was a Sri Lankan politician. He served as the Minister of Transport and Public Works (1952-1956) and the Minister of Public Administration, Home Affairs and Plantation Industries (1977-1987), having been elected from Weligama in Matara to the Sri Lankan Parliament. He was the Second Governor of the North Western Province of Sri Lanka.
The Ministry of Highways, Ports and Shipping was a Sri Lankan government ministry responsible for the governance, implementation, creation and development of Ports including Colombo, Galle and Trincomalee ports, Highways including Southern expressway, Colombo Outer Circular expressway, Katunayake expressway and their transport services. It was reorganized as two separate ministries, the Ministry of Ports and Shipping and Ministry of Higher Education and Highways following the formation of the Sirisena cabinet in January 2015.
Kulappu Arachchige Don Dhammika Perera, commonly known as Dhammika Perera, is a Sri Lankan businessman, philanthropist, and politician. He is one of the wealthiest people in Sri Lanka. Perera is known as a specialist in corporate re-engineering and revival. As of 2013 he controlled 23 listed companies, and has made significant investments in healthcare technology. He is also known for frequently addressing policy for the country.
The Minister of Highways, Ports & Shipping was an appointment in the Cabinet of Sri Lanka that was responsible for the creation, development, implementation and the governance of the highways, ports and their transport services and the headquarters of the institutions under the ministry. The post was first created in 1960 March as Minister of Nationalized Services, Shipping & Transport, in 1960 July it was renamed as the Minister of Commerce, Trade, Food & Shipping. The section Highways was included in the post of the Minister of Irrigation, Power & Highways in both, 1970 and 1977 years. In the 1977, the section Shipping was included in the Minister of Shipping, Aviation & Tourism. In 1989 The responsibilities of the sections Ports and Shipping were under the Minister of Ports & Shipping and the Minister of Trade & Shipping and the responsibilities of section Highways were under the Minister of Transport & Highways. In 2000 the section of Ports was under the Minister of Ports Development & Development of the South ,the section Highways was under the Minister of Highways ,the section of Shipping was under the Minister of Internal & International Trade Commerce, Muslim Religious Affairs & Shipping Development. The responsibilities of the sections of Highways and into some distance Shipping too were under the Minister of Transport, Highways & Aviation in 2001. The section Highways was under the Minister of Highways & Road Development and the sections Ports and Shipping were under the Minister of Ports & Aviation in 2005. The original name Minister of Highways, Ports and Shipping was given for the post in 2010. The position was abolished and divided into the portfolios of the Minister of Ports and Shipping and Ministry of Higher Education and Highways with the portfolio reshuffle in January 2015 under the Sirisena cabinet.
The state agencies that form Thailand's public sector consist of several types of functioning bodies. While some agencies established by mandate of the constitution are independent, others are directly or indirectly answerable to the executive of the Royal Thai Government. The majority of these are government agencies, which employ the civil service as well as the military. Others include public organizations and state enterprises.
In Sri Lanka, a Non-cabinet minister is politician who is a Minister, but not a member of the Cabinet of Ministers. A non-cabinet minister is ranked below a cabinet minister, but above a deputy minister. A non-cabinet minister can be in charge of a ministry, be attached a ministry of a cabinet minister or be without a ministry. A cabinet minister may hold another non-cabinet minister post with a different subject concurrently.
Sirisena Amarasekara is a Sri Lankan public servant and diplomat. He is the former Sri Lankan High Commissioner to South Africa, Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Angola, Botswana, and Eswatin. He had functioned as the secretary to the Prime Minister on two occasions, and as the secretary to the Cabinet of Sri Lanka. Having completed more than 50 years of public service, Amarasekara is one of the most senior Sri Lankan public servants.
Haritha TV is a Sri Lankan 4K Ultra HD entertainment channel currently broadcasting in Sri Lanka in the Sinhala language. The channel airs content mainly focusing about agriculture and also broadcast programmes based on folk arts, nature, heritage and local culture. It is also regarded as Sri Lanka's first exclusive television channel to have been launched with the intention of promoting sustainable agriculture.
