The following is a list of Zygaenidae of Nepal . Thirty-seven different species are listed.
This list is primarily based on Colin Smith's 2010 "Lepidoptera of Nepal", [1] which is based on Toshiro Haruta's "Moths of Nepal (Vol. 1-6)" [2] with some recent additions and a modernized classification.
The Arctiini are a tribe of tiger moths in the family Erebidae.
Chalcosiinae is a subfamily of the Zygaenidae, containing many species, mostly little known. Prominent sexual dimorphism, bright aposematic coloration and mimicry complexes are widespread.
Heracula is a genus of moths in the family Pseudobistonidae. It contains only one species, Heracula discivitta, which is found in India (Sikkim) and Nepal.
Spirama helicina is a moth of the family Erebidae first described by Jacob Hübner in 1824. In older texts, the species was classified as morph of Spirama retorta.
