The Lombo language (also called Olombo, Turumbu, Ulumbu) is in the Kele language group of Bantu languages. It is spoken by the Turumbu people of the Tshopo District, Isangi Territory, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. [1]

Ribeira Grande is a stream in the northeastern part of the island of Santo Antão in Cape Verde. The stream flows from west-southwest to east-northeast, through a steep and narrow gorge. The river begins near Lombo Santa, passes through Boca de Ambas Ribeiras, Boca de Coruja and Coculi, and flows into the Atlantic Ocean at the town of Ribeira Grande. Its most important tributaries are the Ribeira de Chã das Pedras, and the Ribeira da Torre, that joins the Ribeira Grande in the town Ribeira Grande.

The Turumbu people are a Bantu ethnic group living in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, mostly in the Isangi Territory of the Tshopo Province on both sides of the Congo River. They speak the Lombo language. As of 1971 their population was estimated to be 10,000. A more recent estimate put the population at 32,000.
