Mylakkadu is a small suburban village and junction in the Kollam district of the Kerala state in India. [1] It is near the town Kottiyam. There are a number of industries and temples in the village, with several festivals held at the locale as well.
Ithikkara and Ithikkara River are nearby, as is NH 47.Mylakkadu is also connected to Kannanalloor and Kundara through Mylakkadu - Kannanalloor road.
Mylakkadu is well known on its clay and bricks industries. Travancore potteries and Regal are the oldest factories in Mylakkadu. These factories are started on the colonial period. Kottiyam, Paravur and Chathannoor are the nearest towns.[ citation needed ]

Paravur, IPA: [pɐɾɐʋuːr], (Paravoor), is a town and a municipality in the Kollam Metropolitan Area of Kollam district in the Indian state of Kerala. Paravur railway station is the last station in Kollam district which is on the route to Trivandrum while travelling towards South India.
