Reliant Air is a regional and charter airline based in Danbury, Connecticut, USA. With its main base at Danbury Municipal Airport, it provides scheduled service to Nantucket and operates charters to other destinations. [1]
The airline was established and started operations in 1988. Reliant Air has been in continuous service since then, under the same private ownership. In 2007, a fire had burned down the original hangar/headquarters at Danbury Municipal Airport, but has since been rebuilt and continues in operation. [2] This is the only passenger airline to operate a scheduled service out of Danbury, aside from Eagle Air.

Fitchburg Municipal Airport is a public airport located 3 miles (5 km) southeast of the central business district of Fitchburg, a city in Worcester County, Massachusetts, United States. This airport is owned by the City of Fitchburg. The airport also serves as a base for the Fitchburg Pilots Association/EAA chapter 1454. This group uses the airport to host events such as Young Eagles and flights in EAA's Ford Trimotor. The airport underwent a renovation in 2020 that extended runway 14/32 by 500 feet to its current length of 5001 feet. The runway extension was to meet requirements for insurance companies to permit certain small jets to land and take off from the airport. The renovation removed runway 2/20. Occasionally the airport serves as a home for rock festivals such as The Warped Tour and Locobazooka.

The airline was a certified Part 135 operator, provided on demand and commuter service, while the FBO provided standard aircraft services and maintenance, specializing in overhauls of the Cessna 400 series aircraft. Beginning in March 2010, Twin Cities Air Service began a scheduled commuter route between Portland, Maine, and Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. At the time of the initiation of this route, Twin Cities was the only scheduled carrier into the Yarmouth Airport, and was the only scheduled international service into the Portland International Jetport.
