The Rhodes football team is the football team which represents the island of Rhodes, at the biannual Island Games. Rhodes is not a member of FIFA or UEFA, it is an island within Greece and plays under the auspices of the Hellenic Football Federation, the governing body for football in Greece.

The 2005–06 Greek Football Cup was the 64th edition of the Greek Football Cup, competition. This season's edition was the first to be entitled "SINCO Greek Cup" after SINCO Insurance Brokers. The competition started on 20 August 2005 and concluded on 10 May 2006 with the Final, held at Pankritio Stadium. Olympiacos won the trophy with a 3-0 victory over AEK Athens.

Syrna (Greek: Σύρνα; anciently, Syrnos or Sirna or Agios Ioannis, is a small island about 4 km2 in area to the south-east of Astypalaia in the Dodecanese group of Greek islands, situated to the south-east of the country. It is mostly covered with juniper and garrigue scrub. The few inhabitants raise stock, catch fish and practice arable agriculture. Rhodes is the largest of the Dodecanese islands of Greece and is their historical capital; it is the ninth largest island in the overall Mediterranean Sea. Administratively, the island forms a separate municipality within the Rhodes regional unit, which is part of the South Aegean administrative region. The principal town of the island and seat of the municipality is Rhodes. The city of Rhodes had 50,636 inhabitants in 2011. In 2022, the island had a population of 125,113 people. It is located northeast of Crete, southeast of Athens. Rhodes has several nicknames, such as "Island of the Sun" due to its patron sun god Helios, "The Pearl Island", and "The Island of the Knights", named after the Knights of Saint John of Jerusalem, who ruled the island from 1310 to 1522.

The Greece national under-20 football team is the national under-20 football team of Greece and is controlled by the Hellenic Football Federation, the governing body for football in Greece. The team competes in the FIFA U-20 World Cup, which is held every two years. To qualify for this tournament, the team must finish in the top six of the UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship from the previous year.

Rhodes Knights Rugby League is an amateur Greek Rugby league club from Rhodes, Greece. Knights compete in the Greek Rugby League Association's 2017 Championship, which are currently in first place. They competed and were declared undefeated champions of 2014 and 2015 Hellenic Rugby League Federation's 1st Championship Division and 2016 Greek Rugby League Association's Championship. They are 2015 Greek Rugby League Challenge Cup holders.

Cricket is a sport relatively unknown to most Greeks. However, it is believed that this sport or one similar was played in ancient Greece. This conclusion is drawn from an ancient relief that depicts athletes with clubs and ball. In modern era the cricket in Greece is connected with Corfu where this sport is pretty popular. The sport was imported to Corfu by the British when the Ionian Islands were under British rule (1815–64). The first teams in the island were created after the departure of the British, shortly after 1864. In 1893, the still existing club Kerkyraikos G.S. was founded. Other cricket clubs were founded in subsequent years. In 1925 the club GSK Vyron was founded, and in 1976 the club AO Faiax was founded. The Hellenic Cricket Federation was founded in 1996. It is the only Greek sport federation that is not based in Athens but based in Corfu.

The 2018–19 Gamma Ethniki is the 36th season since the official establishment of the third tier of Greek football in 1983. It start on 30 September 2018. This year 12 teams will be promoted. After the finish of the eight groups, the first team of each group will be promoted to Football League and then the 8 runner-up teams after draw will play two legs to determine which four teams will be promoted.

The 2019–20 Gamma Ethniki was the 37th season since the official establishment of the championship in 1983, but the 1st season as the fourth tier of the Greek Football. It will start on 22 September 2019. After the finish of the eight groups, the first team of each group will qualify for a playoff round of two groups, to determine which two teams will be promoted to Football League.

The Greek Basketball Super Cup or Hellenic Basketball Super Cup, is the top-tier level professional basketball national super cup competition in Greece. The first edition of the tournament, was organized by the Hellenic Basketball Federation (E.O.K.), in 1986. It was contested by the Greek Basket League champions and the Greek Basketball Cup winners. However, the Greek Basketball Super Cup was revived in 2020, by the Hellenic Basketball Association (HEBA), under a final four tournament format.

The 2020–21 Gamma Ethniki was the 38th season since the official establishment of the championship in 1983, but the 2nd season as the fourth tier of the Greek Football. It started on 11 October 2020 but put on hold from the Greek government due to the COVID-19 pandemic on 1 November 2020. It restarted on 11 April 2021, with the group stage being completed after its first round. The champions of each group then qualified for a playoff round, to determine which four teams would be promoted to 2021–22 Super League 2.

The 2022–23 Gamma Ethniki was the 40th season since the official establishment of the championship in 1983, and the second after the reestablishment as the 3rd tier of the Greek Football. The competition started on 13 November 2022, and was conducted in five groups, in contrast to 2021–22 season, when it was conducted in seven groups. The groups were formed according to geographical criteria. After all games of the five groups are played, the champion of each group qualifies for a playoff round, from which the top four clubs will be promoted to Super League 2.
