Timberlake is nearly completely surrounded by Eastlake, with one entrance to the village coming through Lakeline, and the remaining portion bordering Lake Erie.

As of the census [7] of 2010, there were 675 people, 295 households, and 206 families living in the village. The population density was 3,214.3 inhabitants per square mile (1,241.0/km2). There were 307 housing units at an average density of 1,461.9 per square mile (564.4/km2). The racial makeup of the village was 96.3% White, 0.6% African American, 0.6% Native American, 0.6% Asian, 1.2% from other races, and 0.7% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.4% of the population.
There were 295 households, of which 22.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.6% were married couples living together, 7.8% had a female householder with no husband present, 3.4% had a male householder with no wife present, and 30.2% were non-families. 26.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.29 and the average family size was 2.75.
The median age in the village was 49.6 years. 18.2% of residents were under the age of 18; 4.2% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 19% were from 25 to 44; 36.2% were from 45 to 64; and 22.4% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the village was 49.2% male and 50.8% female.

Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.42% of the population. 20.6% were of German, 16.4% Italian, 10.7% Irish, 8.0% Slovene, 5.7% English and 5.6% Polish ancestry according to Census 2000.
There were 309 households, out of which 24.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.4% were married couples living together, 6.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.9% were non-families. 23.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
