Alpha-globin transcription factor CP2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the TFCP2 gene. [5] [6]
TFCP2 is also called Late SV40 factor (LSF) and it is induced by well known oncogene AEG-1. [7] LSF also acts as an oncogene in hepatocellular carcinoma. [8] LSF enhances angiogenesis by transcriptionally up-regulating matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP9). [9]
Along with its main oncogene function in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) it plays multifaceted role in chemoresistance, epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), allergic response, inflammation and Alzheimer's disease. [8] [10] The small molecule FQI1 (factor quinolinone inhibitor 1) prevents LSF from binding to HCC DNA which results in HCC cell death. [8] [10] [11]
TFCP2 has been shown to interact with APBB1 [12] and RNF2. [13]
Transcription factor Sp1, also known as specificity protein 1* is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SP1 gene.
Histone deacetylase 1 (HDAC1) is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the HDAC1 gene.
Retinoblastoma-like protein 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the RBL2 gene.
Transcription factor RelB is a protein that in humans is encoded by the RELB gene.
The proto-oncogene c-Rel is a protein that in humans is encoded by the REL gene. The c-Rel protein is a member of the NF-κB family of transcription factors and contains a Rel homology domain (RHD) at its N-terminus and two C-terminal transactivation domains. c-Rel is a myeloid checkpoint protein that can be targeted for treating cancer. c-Rel has an important role in B-cell survival and proliferation. The REL gene is amplified or mutated in several human B-cell lymphomas, including diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Pre-B-cell leukemia transcription factor 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the PBX1 gene.
Protein C-ETS2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ETS2 gene. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the ETS family of transcription factors.

Amyloid beta A4 precursor protein-binding family B member 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the APBB1 gene.
Cell division protein kinase 8 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the CDK8 gene.
Zinc finger protein 148 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ZNF148 gene.
Staphylococcal nuclease domain-containing protein 1 also known as 100 kDa coactivator or Tudor domain-containing protein 11 (TDRD11) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SND1 gene. SND1 is a main component of RISC complex and plays an important role in miRNA function. SND1 is Tudor domain containing protein and Tudor Proteins are highly conserved proteins and even present in Drosophila melanogaster. SND1 is also involved in Autism.

Zinc finger and BTB domain containing 48 (ZBTB48), also known as telomeric zinc-finger associated protein (TZAP), is a protein that directly binds to the double-stranded repeat sequence of telomeres. In humans it is encoded by the ZBTB48 gene.
