Laksar is a small town, near Haridwar city and Nagar Palika in Haridwar district of the Indian state of Uttarakhand, situated along National Highway 334A. It is an important sugar manufacturing destination in the state and also known for the Laksar Junction railway station (LRJ), the largest railway junction in the state, which was built in 1866.
The Imperial Legislative Council (ILC) was the legislature of British India from 1861 to 1947. It was established under the Charter Act of 1853 by providing for the addition of 6 additional members to the Governor General Council for legislative purposes. Thus, the act separated the legislative and executive functions of the council and it was this body within the Governor General's Council which came to known as the Indian/Central Legislative Council. In 1861 it was renamed as Imperial Legislative Council and the strength was increased.
The 12367 / 12368 Vikramshila Superfast Express connects Bhagalpur, one of the largest cities of Bihar to India's capital New Delhi. The Kanpur–Delhi section is a railway line connecting Kanpur Central and Delhi. This section includes Agra Chord and Etah link. The main line is part of Howrah–Delhi main line and Howrah–Gaya–Delhi line. The Agra–Delhi chord is part of Delhi–Mumbai line and Delhi–Chennai line.

Laksar Junction railway station is a railway station located in Laksar, a small city in Haridwar district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand.
The 1866 Birthday Honours were appointments by Queen Victoria to various orders and honours to reward and highlight good works by citizens of the British Empire. The appointments were made to celebrate the official birthday of the Queen, and were published in The London Gazette on 25 May and 29 May 1866.
