The Protyre 2011 Formula Renault BARC season was the 17th Formula Renault BARC Championship. The BARC is the British Automobile Racing Club (BARC) that is one of the biggest organising clubs for auto racing in the United Kingdom. The season began at Donington Park on 23 April and ended on 16 October at Silverstone, after twelve rounds held in England.

The series will form part of the BARC club racing meetings. The final round at Silverstone will be part of the British Touring Car Championship meeting. [2] On 3 March, a non-championship round was announced, to be held at Zandvoort, supporting the Masters of Formula 3 event and racing alongside the Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup. British Formula Renault Championship referred to one of two Formula Renault championships that were held in the United Kingdom. The main series was Renault Sport UK's Formula Renault 2.0 UK championship which was held from 1989 to 2011 and was generally recognized as the British Formula Renault championship. However, in March 2012 it was announced that the Formula Renault UK series would not take place in 2012, with the series being ended definitively in September 2012. A secondary championship organised by the British Automobile Racing Club and known as the Protyre Formula Renault Championship was held continuously between 1995 and 2014. The championship was the only Formula Renault 2.0 championship operating in the United Kingdom after the demise of the main series, but was ended after the 2014 season.

The Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom was an entry level One-make, Touring car racing motor sport category and the current name in the long history of Renault one-make cups in the UK. Several former drivers have become successful in other Touring car racing formulae, including Andy Priaulx, who went on to become multiple World Touring Car Championship champion and Jason Plato who is multiple British Touring Car Championship champion. The championship currently runs on the support package of the British Touring Car Championship. The current series promoter is the British Automobile Racing Club, after previously being the promoter from 1974 to 2011. Prior to this, SRO promoted the series in 2012. The UK Clio Cup is to leave as a BTCC-support series and replace the Mini Challenge in supporting the 2020 British GT Championship, with the Mini Challenge taking the Clio Cup's spot.

The 2015 season was the eleventh and final Formula Renault 3.5 Series season organised by Renault Sport, after it was announced that the organisation would withdraw its backing of the championship at the end of the season.

The 2015 season was the 25th Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 season organized by Renault Sport. The season began at Ciudad del Motor de Aragón on 25 April and finished on 18 October at Circuito de Jerez. The series formed part of the World Series by Renault meetings, with seventeen races at seven race meetings. The championship was won by British driver Jack Aitken.
Zamparelli will partner karting graduate Callum Bowyer at Antel, while series returnee Archie Hamilton has defected from Antel to rival team Fortec.
Fortec Motorsport’s latest signing Spaniard Victor Jiminez, 27, was also looking sharp with SWB Motorsport’s Raoul Owens, 16, and Hillspeed’s Sean Walkinshaw from Chipping Norton, also making steady progress.
