Regarded as an entry-level series to motor racing, it was first founded in 1971, and is a respected series where drivers can learn advanced racecraft before moving on to higher formulas.
The Pau Grand Prix is a motor race held in Pau, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department of southwestern France. The French Grand Prix was held at Pau in 1930, leading to the annual Pau Grand Prix being inaugurated in 1933. It was not run during World War II and in 2020–2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2007 Formula 3 Euro Series season was the fifth championship year of Europe’s premier Formula Three series. As in previous years, the championships took place over ten rounds – each with two races – held at a variety of European circuits. Each weekend consisted of one 60-minute practice session and one qualifying session, followed by one c.110 km race and one c.80 km race. The single qualifying session was retained from 2006, with the starting order for race 2 being determined by the finishing order of race 1, with the top eight positions reversed. This season was notable for the return of Volkswagen as an F3 engine supplier. The drivers' title was won by Romain Grosjean and the teams' title was again won by ASM Formule 3. It was the fourth double title win in succession for ASM. The top four drivers in the championship would go on to race in Formula 1: Sébastien Buemi, Kamui Kobayashi and champion Grosjean all debuted in F1 in 2009 and Nico Hülkenberg in 2010.
Formula Renault Eurocup was a Formula Renault motor racing championship. Eurocup raced only on European circuits.

Adam Robert Christodoulou is a Greek-British racing driver, who won the 2008 British Formula Renault Championship, also won the 2009 Star Mazda Championship in the United States. His cousin Riki Christodoulou is also a racing driver, having competed in British Formula 3 Championship.
The 2009 FIA Formula Two Championship season was the first year of the relaunched FIA Formula Two Championship. The championship began on 30 May at the Circuit de Valencia and finished on 1 November at the Circuit de Catalunya, after eight double-header rounds. Andy Soucek was a dominant champion, finishing over 50 points clear of runner-up Robert Wickens.
Barazi-Epsilon is a racing team owned by engineer Michel Lecomte and entrepreneur turned amateur racer Juan Barazi. The team's base is in Le Mans. The team was founded in 2000 as Epsilon Sport from the remains of the Graff Racing's Formula Three operations.

The 2010 Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 season was the 20th Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 season. It began on 17 April at Motorland Aragon and ended on 10 October at Circuit de Catalunya after eight rounds and sixteen races.

The 2013 Formula Renault 2.0 Alps Series was the third year of the Formula Renault 2.0 Alps series, and the twelfth season of the former Swiss Formula Renault Championship. The championship began on 6 April at Vallelunga and finished on 6 October at Imola after fourteen races held at seven meetings.
The 2013 Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 season was a multi-event motor racing championship for open wheel, formula racing cars held across Europe. The championship features drivers competing in 2 litre Formula Renault single seat race cars that conform to the technical regulations for the championship. The 2013 season is the 23rd Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 season organized by the Renault Sport and the first season with the new generation car. The season began at Ciudad del Motor de Aragón on 27 April and finished on 20 October at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The series formed part of the World Series by Renault meetings at seven double header events.

The 2015 season was the 25th Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 season organized by Renault Sport. The season began at Ciudad del Motor de Aragón on 25 April and finished on 18 October at Circuito de Jerez. The series formed part of the World Series by Renault meetings, with seventeen races at seven race meetings. The championship was won by British driver Jack Aitken.
The 2016 French F4 Championship season was the 24th season of the series for 1600cc Formula Renault machinery, and the sixth season to run under the guise of the French F4 Championship. The series began on 1 April at Le Castellet and ended on 6 November at Montmeló, after six rounds and twenty-four races.
The 2017 Formula Renault Eurocup is a multi-event motor racing championship for open wheel, formula racing cars held across Europe. The championship features drivers competing in 2 litre Formula Renault single seat race cars that conform to the technical regulations for the championship. The 2017 season is the 27th Formula Renault Eurocup season organized by the Renault Sport and the second season as the main category of the World Series by Renault. The series will visit ten circuits around the Europe, including Monaco.
