The 2012 FIM Fogo European Speedway Grand Prix was the second race of the 2012 Speedway Grand Prix season. It took place on 28 April at the Alfred Smoczyk Stadium in Leszno, Poland. [1] [2] [3] [4]

The 2012 Speedway Grand Prix season was the 18th season of the Speedway Grand Prix era, and decided the 67th FIM Speedway World Championship. It was the twelfth series under the promotion of Benfield Sports International, an IMG company. The series began on 31 March in Auckland and finish on 6 October in Torun.

Alfred Smoczyk Stadium

Alfred Smoczyk Stadium is a stadium in Leszno, Poland. It is currently used speedway matches and is the home stadium of Unia Leszno. The stadium has a capacity of 15,000 people.

Leszno Place in Greater Poland Voivodeship, Poland

Leszno(listen) is a town in western Poland with 64,197 inhabitants (2017) and is the seventh-largest settlement in the Greater Poland Voivodeship of which it is situated in the southern part of the since 1999. It was previously the capital of the Leszno Voivodeship (1975–1998). The town has county status.

The last SGP in Leszno was won by Chris Holder who beat Tomasz Gollob, Jarosław Hampel and Andreas Jonsson in the final. [5] [6]

Riders

The Speedway Grand Prix Commission nominated Przemysław Pawlicki as Wild Card, and Tobiasz Musielak and Piotr Pawlicki, Jr. both as Track Reserves. [7] The Draw was made on 27 April. [8]
