The 2007 BWF Grand Prix Gold and Grand Prix was the inaugural season of BWF Grand Prix Gold and Grand Prix under the new tournament structure introduced by Badminton World Federation (BWF). It was held from February 28 and will end on December 12, 2007. 12 events were planned, but India Open Grand Prix Gold was cancelled following the bomb blast in the city. The organizers decided to postpone the tournament to indefinite date. However, the President of Badminton Association of India said the tournament is likely to take place from January 7 to January 13, 2008. But BWF later confirmed the event was cancelled. Had the tournament been held, it would be have been held in Kotla Vijay Bhaskar Reddy Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad from 4–9 September 2007.

Mads Conrad-Petersen is a former Danish badminton player. He won the gold medal at the 2016 European Championships in the men's doubles event partnered with Mads Pieler Kolding. He also a part of the Denmark national team who won the 2016 Thomas Cup.
Jongkolphan Kititharakul is a Thai badminton player who specializes in doubles. She was the women's doubles gold medalist at the 2017 Southeast Asian Games, also part of the team that clinched the women's team gold medals in 2015, 2017 and 2019.

He was also part of the South Korean winning team at the 2014 Asian Games. In 2016, Lee represented his country competing at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Rawinda Prajongjai is a Thai badminton player. She was part of the national women's team that clinched the gold medal at the 2015, 2017 and 2019 Southeast Asian Games, also won the women's doubles title in 2017. Started her career as a singles player, she won her first international title at the 2013 Smiling Fish International tournament. She later focused on playing in doubles, and won her first Grand Prix tournament in 2015 Vietnam Open teamed-up with Jongkolphan Kititharakul.
Émilie Lefel is a French badminton player. In 2012, she won her first National Championships title in the women's doubles event with her partner Pi Hongyan.
Puttita Supajirakul is a Thai badminton player who competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She was part of Thailand's gold medals-winning team at the 2015, 2017 and 2019 Southeast Asian Games in the women's team event. She was also the women's doubles champion at the 2016 Thailand Open.
Peter Käsbauer is a German badminton player, specializing in doubles play. In 2007, he won a silver medal in the mixed doubles and a bronze medal in the boys' doubles at the European Junior Championships.
Isabel Lohau is a German badminton player, specializing in doubles play. She started playing badminton at her hometown Hersbruck in 2001, and in 2010 she joined the Germany national badminton team. She along with national team won the 2011 European Junior Championships and 2012 European Women's Team Championships. In the individual event, Lohau also won the bronze medals at the 2010 World Junior Championships in the mixed doubles, 2011 European Junior Championships in the mixed and girls' doubles, and at the 2018 and 2021 European Championships in the mixed doubles. She represented her country competing at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
David Daugaard is a Danish badminton player. In 2013, he won gold medal in mixed doubles event and silver medal in boys' doubles event at the European Junior Badminton Championships.

Teo Ee Yi is a Malaysian badminton player. He won gold medals at the 2011 World Junior Championships in the team and boys' doubles events. Together with Ong Yew Sin, Teo won a Grand Prix Gold title at the 2016 Bitburger Open.
