The 2020 BWF Continental Circuit was the fourteenth season of the BWF Continental Circuit of badminton, a circuit of 14 tournaments. [1] The 14 tournaments are divided into three levels:

<span class="mw-page-title-main">BWF World Junior Championships</span> Tournament

The BWF World Junior Championships is a tournament organized by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) to crown the best junior badminton players (under-19) in the world. The championships is held annually and consists of two separate competitions: a mixed team championships followed by an individual championships.

The Taipei Open, formerly named the Chinese Taipei Open Grand Prix Gold (2007–2017) and Chinese Taipei Open (2018–2019), is an open badminton international championships held in Taiwan since the 1970s, but they took place only in irregular periods. Since 1980 they are regularly held, except in 1998, due to the Asian economic crisis, 2001, 2020, and 2021, the latter two due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Taiwan.

The Cyprus International in badminton is an international open held in Cyprus since 1987. The tournament belongs to the EBU Circuit. The Cypriot National Badminton Championships started three years later.

The Macau Open Badminton Championships is an open international championship in badminton held in Macau since 2006.

The Vietnam Open in badminton is an international open held in Vietnam since 1996.

The Korea Masters is an international badminton tournament that usually held in November or December every year of BWF event calendar in South Korea. The total prize money in 2016 was US$120,000. Before 2010, the level of the tournament was an International Challenge, which is the fourth level tournament of international badminton tournament. It began in 2007, when it was held in Suwon, then it moved to Yeosu in 2008 and Hwasun in 2009. In 2010, it was turned into a BWF Grand Prix event.

The Vietnam International or Vietnam Satellite or Hanoi International in badminton is an international tournament held in Vietnam. This tournament has been an International Challenge level since 2008. Another tournament named Vietnam International Series established in 2014, and Vietnam Open established in 1996.

The Indonesia Masters Super 100 is an annual badminton tournament held in Indonesia. This tournament is a part of the BWF World Tour tournaments and is leveled in BWF Tour Super 100. This tournament offer prize money of US$75,000.

The Hyderabad Open is an annual badminton tournament held in India. This tournament is a part of the BWF World Tour tournaments and is leveled in BWF Tour Super 100.

There are 172 quota places available for qualification for badminton at the 2020 Summer Olympics. The Olympic qualification period takes place between April 29, 2019 and April 25, 2021, and the Badminton World Federation rankings list, scheduled to publish on June 15, 2021, will be used to allocate spots. Nations can enter a maximum of two players each in the men's and women's singles if both are ranked in the world's top 16; otherwise, one quota place until the roster of thirty-eight players has been completed. Similar regulations also apply to the players competing in the doubles, as the NOCs can enter a maximum of two pairs if both are ranked in the top eight, while the remaining NOCs are entitled to one until the quota of 16 highest-ranked pairs is filled.

1. BWF World Tour

The 2020 BWF World Tour was the third season of the BWF World Tour of badminton, a circuit of 26 tournaments which led up to the World Tour Finals tournament. The 27 tournaments are divided into five levels: Level 1 was the said World Tour Finals, Level 2 called Super 1000, Level 3 called Super 750, Level 4 called Super 500 and Level 5 called Super 300. Each of these tournaments offers different ranking points and prize money. The highest points and prize pool were offered at the Super 1000 level.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2020 Thomas & Uber Cup</span> Biennial international badminton championship

The 2020 Thomas & Uber Cup was the 31st edition of the Thomas Cup and the 28th edition of the Uber Cup, the biennial international badminton championship contested by the men and women's national teams of the member associations of Badminton World Federation (BWF). The tournament were played at Ceres Arena in Aarhus, Denmark. It is the first time that Denmark hosted the Thomas Cup and Uber Cup tournament and the first time this event was held in Europe since England 1982. It was due to be played on 15–23 August 2020, but on 29 April 2020 it was postponed to the 3–11 October due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 15 September 2020 it was again postponed and on 21 December 2020 it was announced that it was postponed to 9–17 October 2021.

The Cameroon International is an international badminton tournament held in Yaoundé, Cameroon. This tournament established in 2017 and part of the Badminton Confederation of Africa Circuit.

The 2021 BWF season was the overall badminton circuit organized by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) for the 2021 badminton season to publish and promote the sport. The world badminton tournament in 2021 consisted of:
