The 29th Central American Championships in Athletics were held at the Estadio Doroteo Guamuch Flores in Guatemala City, Guatemala, on 13 and 14 July 2018. [1] [2] [3]

The 2002 Ibero-American Championships in Athletics was the tenth edition of the international athletics competition between Ibero-American nations which was held at the Estadio Cementos Progreso in Ciudad de Guatemala, Guatemala on 11 and 12 May. A total of 328 athletes participated in the 44-event programme. The 3000 metres was introduced for both men and women, replacing the longer 10,000 metres event.

The Central American Race Walking Championships is an annual race walking competition organized by CADICA for athletes representing the countries of its member associations. The event was established in 2007 as Central American Race Walking Cup. The name was changed in 2012. Races are featured for senior, junior, youth, and two age groups for both male and female athletes. In addition, there are separate team competitions.
The 2014 Central American Junior and Youth Championships in Athletics took place between May 23–25, 2014. The event was held at the Estadio de Atletismo del Instituto Nicaragüense de Deportes in Managua, Nicaragua. Organized by the Central American Isthmus Athletic Confederation (CADICA), it was the 27th edition of the Junior (U-20) and the 22nd edition of the Youth (U-18) competition. A total of 86 events were contested, 22 by junior boys, 22 by junior girls, 21 by youth boys, and 21 by youth girls. A total of 17 new championship records were set. Overall winner on points was Guatemala.
The 25th Central American Championships in Athletics were held at the Estadio Olímpico Palacio de los Deportes UNAH in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, between June 20–22, 2014.
The 17th Ibero-American Championships in Athletics were held at the Estádio Olímpico João Havelange in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, between May 14-16, 2016. Since the event served also as the athletics event test for the 2016 Summer Olympics, countries that do not compete at Ibero-American Championships attended the event, including United States, Saudi Arabia and Australia. However, medals won by those athletes did not count toward the total medal tally.
The 32nd Central American Championships in Athletics were held at the Estadio Nacional in San José, Costa Rica, between June 26–27, 2021.
