The 2020 TCR Asia Series season was set to be the sixth season of the TCR Asia Series.
The provisional 2020 schedule was announced on 26 November 2019, with five events scheduled. [1] [2] Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Asia, the TCR Asia Series was to be split into two seasons, TCR Asia North and Asia South [3] which was also cancelled.

The 2015 TCR International Series was the inaugural season of the TCR International Series, a motor racing championship for touring cars held across Asia and Europe. The season began at Sepang on 28 March and finished on 22 November at the Guia Circuit in Macau.

A TCR Touring Car is a touring car specification, first introduced in 2014 and is now employed by a multitude of series worldwide. All TCR Touring Cars are front-wheel drive cars based on 4 or 5 door production vehicles, and are powered by 1.75 to 2.0 litre turbocharged engines. While the bodyshell and suspension layout of the production vehicle is retained in a TCR car, and many models use a production gearbox, certain accommodations are made for the stresses of the racetrack including upgraded brakes and aerodynamics. Competition vehicles are subject to Balance of Performance adjustments to ensure close racing between different vehicles.
The 2019 World Touring Car Cup was the second season of the World Touring Car Cup and 15th overall of World Touring Cars promoted by Discovery Sports Events, which dates back to the 2005 World Touring Car Championship.
The 2019 TCR Europe Touring Car Series was the fourth season of TCR Europe Touring Car Series, and second held as a standalone series. The season began at the Hungaroring in April and ended at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza in October.
The 2020 STCC TCR Scandinavia Touring Car Championship was the tenth overall season of the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship and the fourth under the internationally recognised TCR formula. It was also the third time the championship has run under the STCC TCR Scandinavia Touring Car Championship banner. Originally due to start on 15 May at Ring Knutstorp and end on 4 October at Mantorp Park, the season start was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A revised calendar was due to be published sometime after Easter.
The 2020 TCR Australia Touring Car Series was to be the second season of the TCR Australia Touring Car Series. The series was set be run as part of the renamed Motorsport Australia Championships series. The rescheduled season-opener was due to be held in Sydney Motorsport Park and it was cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2020 TCR Denmark Touring Car Series is the inaugural season of the TCR Denmark Touring Car Series. The season started on the 18/19 April at Jyllandsringen and will end on the 10/11 October at Padborg Park.
The 2020 Touring Car Trophy is the second season of the Touring Car Trophy. The championship features production-based touring cars built to either NGTC, TCR or Super 2000 specifications and will compete in fourteen races across seven meetings across England. The championship is aimed as a feeder category to the BTCC and operated by Stewart Lines' Maximum Group. For 2020, a revised list of regulations mean that both the TCR UK and TCT series will be combined to run as the same series; the Touring Car Trophy. As well as drivers competing overall for the TCT title, drivers in TCR-spec cars will also compete for the TCR UK trophy. The championship will also be supported by the Volkswagen Racing Cup, which is also run by Maximum Group. The Volkswagen Racing Cup competitors will race alongside the TCT grid in 2020.
The 2020 TCR Europe Touring Car Series is the fifth season of TCR Europe Touring Car Series. The season will begin at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in April and May and will end at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in October.
The 2020 World Touring Car Cup was the third season of the World Touring Car Cup and 16th overall of the series, which dates back to the 2005 World Touring Car Championship.
The 2020 TC America Series is the second season of the TC America Series. The series consists of 3 classes: TCR, TCA, and TC. All races are 40 minutes in length with 4 per weekend; 2 for TCR & TCA cars, and 2 for TC cars.
The 2020 ADAC TCR Germany Touring Car Championship will be the fifth season of touring car racing to be run by the German-based sanctioning body ADAC to the TCR regulations. The series will run predominantly in ADAC's home nation Germany. As a support category to the ADAC GT Masters series, the championship will also take in races in the neighbouring nations of Austria and the Netherlands.
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused disruption to motorsport across the world, mirroring its impact across all sports. Across the world and to varying degrees, events and competitions have been cancelled or postponed.
The 2021 World Touring Car Cup was the fourth season of the World Touring Car Cup and 17th overall of the series, which dates back to the 2005 World Touring Car Championship. The season began on 5 June at the Nürburgring and ended on 28 November in Sochi.
The 2021 TCR Australia Series was the second season of the TCR Australia Touring Car Series. The series ran as part of the renamed Motorsport Australia Championships series.
The 2022 World Touring Car Cup is the fifth season of the World Touring Car Cup and 18th overall of the series, which dates back to the 2005 World Touring Car Championship. The season will begin on 7 May at the Circuit de Pau-Ville and was scheduled to end on 20 November in Guia Circuit., however multiple event cancellations due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine and ongoing quarantine restrictions in Asia mean that, as of 12th August 2022, no further events are scheduled beyond the seven which have been held despite a promise of an update on 10th August 2022, however the series is officially on its summer break.
