The 2016 Campeonato Nacional de Velocidade Turismos is the second season of the TCR Portuguese Series. Starting from this season, the championship will run separate from the GT Class of the championship (that will form che Endurance Class) organised by FullEventos. As for the Italian series, TCR cars will be placed side by side with TCS, also with the addition of a trophy cars category (TCC class).

Calendar and results

The 2016 schedule was announced on 3 December 2015, with one out of five events scheduled to be held in Spain. A reserve round was scheduled at Autódromo do Estoril for 27 November. [7] The race format is divided into Sprint and Double Sprint: the first one contemplates two 25-minute-long races, the second one is formed by four 20-minute-long races. By early April, the Estoril round was moved from 17–18 September to the reserve date.

The 2016 TCR International Series Estoril round was the second round of the 2016 TCR International Series season. It took place on 24 April at the Autódromo do Estoril.

The 2017 TCR Ibérico Touring Car Series season was the first season of the TCR Iberico Touring Car Series, a merger of the TCR Spain and TCR Portugal series. The championship started at Autódromo do Estoril in Portugal on 30 April and ended at Algarve International Circuit in Portugal on 22 October.

Kissling Motorsport was a German auto racing team based in Münstereifel, Germany. The team has raced in the multiple series' around the world, as well as having a close cooperation with Opel and Opel Performance Center. Having developed several Opel racing cars, amongst them are the Opel Omega 3000 24V Evo that raced the 1993 Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft, the Opel Astra TCR that was raced in the 2016 TCR International Series. <span class="mw-page-title-main">TCR Touring Car</span> Touring car racing specification

A TCR Touring Car is a touring car specification, first introduced in 2014 and is now employed by a multitude of series worldwide. All TCR Touring Cars are front-wheel drive cars based on 4 or 5 door production vehicles, and are powered by 1.75 to 2.0 litre turbocharged engines. While the bodyshell and suspension layout of the production vehicle is retained in a TCR car, and many models use a production gearbox, certain accommodations are made for the stresses of the racetrack including upgraded brakes and aerodynamics. Competition vehicles are subject to balance of performance (BoP) adjustments to ensure close racing between different vehicles.

The 2018 Campeonato Nacional de Velocidade Turismos is set to be the fourth season of Campeonato Nacional de Velocidade Turismos that will run under the TCR regulations. The series is organised by the Federação Portuguesa de Automobilismo e Karting (FPAK) and Full Eventos under the Racing Weekend banner. Francisco Mora is the defending drivers' champion.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Autódromo de Concepción del Uruguay</span>

The Autódromo de Concepción del Uruguay is a 4.279 km (2.659 mi) racing circuit for motorsport competitions, located on the outskirts of the city of Concepción del Uruguay, in the Argentine Province of Entre Ríos. The circuit is one of three in the province, with the two other courses being in Paraná and Concordia, both of which are considered national category racing circuits. The circuit was formerly the longest circuit in the province until the circuit in Concordia was reconfigured, with the new length being 4.700 km (2.920 mi), 0.421 km (0.262 mi) longer than the Autódromo de Concepción del Uruguay in its full layout.
