Local elections were held in the Rizal on May 9, 2022, as part of the 2022 general elections. Voters selected candidates for all local positions: a municipal/city mayor, vice mayor and town councilors, as well as members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, the governor, vice-governor and representatives for the four districts of Rizal. [1]

Contents

Background

Governor Rebecca "Nini" Ynares was term-limited and illegible to run. Initially, her husband, Presidential Adviser for Southern Tagalog and former Governor Casimiro "Ito" Ynares Jr., was supposed to run, but was later substituted by their daughter, GSIS Board of Trustee Nina Ricci Ynares. [2] Other candidates for governor were Andrew Sumulong, Jose Velasco, Benedict Angeles, and Fernando Dizon.

Vice Governor ran for third and final term. He faced other candidates Sonny Clemente, Patrick Ken Felix, and Ricky Juan Balauro.

Local elections were held in the Province of Rizal on May 9, 2016 as part of the 2016 general election. Voters selected candidates for all local positions: a municipal/city mayor, vice mayor and town councilors, as well as members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, the governor, vice-governor and representatives for the two districts of Rizal.

Elections were held in Calabarzon for seats in the House of Representatives of the Philippines on May 9, 2016.

Voters elected candidates for the local elective posts in the city: the mayor, the vice mayor, the two district representatives, the two provincial board members and the sixteen councilors.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Rizal's 2nd congressional district</span>

Rizal's 2nd congressional district is one of the six congressional districts of the Philippines in the province of Rizal. It has been represented in the House of Representatives of the Philippines since 1916 and earlier in the Philippine Assembly from 1907 to 1916. The district consists of the municipalities of Baras, Cardona, Jalajala, Morong, Pililla, Tanay and Teresa. It is currently represented in the 19th Congress by Emigdio P. Tanjuatco III of the Liberal Party (LP).

Local elections were held in the province of Bulacan on May 9, 2022 as part of the 2022 Philippine general election. Bulacan is one of the eight-one provinces of the Philippines participating in the election while conducting their own local elections from the provincial-level to the municipal-level of officials. Bulacan has six legislative districts that encompass most of its municipalities and cities, the lone exception of San Jose del Monte which is its own legislative lone district.

Local elections were held at Antipolo on May 9, 2022, as part of the Philippine general election. Held concurrently with the national elections, the electorate voted to elect a mayor, a vice mayor, sixteen councilors members, two members to the Rizal Provincial Board and two district representatives to congress. Those elected took their respective offices on June 30, 2022, for a three-year-long term.

Local elections was held in Antipolo on May 10, 2010, within the Philippine general election. The voters elected candidates for the elective local posts in the city: the mayor, vice mayor, the two district congressmen, two provincial board members of Rizal, one for each district, and the sixteen councilors, eight in each of the city's districts.

Elections took place in Calabarzon for seats in the House of Representatives of the Philippines on May 9, 2022.

Local elections were held in San Mateo, Rizal, on May 9, 2022, as part of the Philippine general election. Held concurrently with the national elections, the electorate voted to elect a mayor, a vice mayor, eight members of the municipality's municipal council, a board member to the Rizal Provincial Board, and a representative to the House of Representatives. Those elected assumed their respective posts on June 30, 2022, alongside other local and national officials. 92,805 of 110,276 registered voters voted in these elections.
