The 2024-25 season is the 34th season of competitive association football in Ukraine since dissolution of the Soviet Union.

Contents

With the continuation of the Russo-Ukrainian War, the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF) decided to go forward with continuation of another season. The UAF approved round-robin tournaments in all national league competitions under strict safety precautions.

    The 2012–13 Ukrainian Second League was the 22nd season of 3rd level professional football in Ukraine. There are two groups of competition divided by region. The competition began on 13 July 2012 when Hirnyk-Sport Komsomolsk visited Sevastopol to play against FC Sevastopol-2 and lost 3–1.

    The 2015–16 Ukrainian Second League was the 25th season of 3rd level professional football in Ukraine. The competition commenced on 26 July 2015 with a full round of matches. From 1 November 2015 to 26 March 2016 the competition was on winter break. The competition resumed with Round 16 and completed on 1 June 2016.

    The 2019–20 Ukrainian Second League is the 29th since its establishment. On 6 June 2019 the PFL council of leagues presented its plan draft ("contours") for the next season for both its First and its Second leagues. The final decision for the season was adopted at the 27th PFL Conference that took place on 27 June 2019.

    The 2019–20 season was the 29th season of competitive association football in Ukraine since dissolution of the Soviet Union.

    After being expelled from Ukrainian Premier League Karpaty were admitted to Ukrainian Second League for the 2020–21 season. It was their 1st season on the 3rd tier of Ukrainian football.

    The 2020–21 season was the 30th season of competitive association football in Ukraine since dissolution of the Soviet Union.

    The 2021–22 season is the 31st season of competitive association football in Ukraine since dissolution of the Soviet Union.

    Season 2022–23 is for FC Chernihiv's 1st season in Ukrainian First League in its history. Due to the ruin of the Chernihiv Arena, the club decided to use the stadium Yunist Stadium, located in the city center of Chernihiv.

    The 2024–25 Ukrainian Second League is the 34th since its establishment.

    The 2024–25 season is Kremin's 22nd year in existence since clubs revival in 2003 and 6th consecutive season in the second flight of Ukrainian football. The club was relegated in the previous season, however they were brought back into the league due to other clubs withdrawing. In addition to the domestic league, Kremin participates in this season's editions of the Ukrainian Cup. The season covers the period from 20 June 2024 to 1 July 2025.
