6–22The 2026 Winter Olympics will air on NBC and its streaming service Peacock. [3]
8 Super Bowl LX will be played at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara and will air on NBC along with Spanish language coverage on Telemundo and streaming on Peacock. Mike Tirico will become the second African-American sportscaster to call the game after Greg Gumbel. [4] [5] [6]

18–19 WrestleMania 42 will broadcast from the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on ESPN. It will be the only second time WrestleMania will be held at the same venue in consecutive years, after WrestleMania IV and WrestleMania V in 1988 and 1989, which were held at the Atlantic City Convention Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. TBD The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will end its 11-year run and with it CBS will discontinue its franchise originating with David Letterman in 1993. CBS cites the cancellation was due to financial reasons and a decline in advertising revenue for its late-night programming. The move comes one year after CBS canceled After Midnight (which aired in the slot following The Late Show) and sold that airtime to Byron Allen for Comics Unleashed . [11]

11–July 19 2026 FIFA World Cup will take place. It will be the 23rd edition of the tournament but the first to feature 48 teams. It will be jointly hosted by 16 cities in three North American countries: Canada, Mexico, and the United States. The tournament will be the first hosted by three nations and the first North American World Cup since 1994. It is scheduled to air on Fox along Spanish language coverage on Telemundo. [12]
