Amy Sinclair (born 1975) is an American politician,who is currently the Iowa State Senator from the 12th District. A Republican,she has served in the Iowa Senate since 2013. [1] She currently resides in Allerton,Iowa. [1]
In November 2022,after Jake Chapman lost his bid for re-election to Sarah Trone Garriott,the position as President of the Senate was left vacant and Sinclair was elected to that position by the Iowa Senate. [2]
As of June 2016,Sinclair currently serves on the following committees:Commerce,Education,and Judiciary,Government Oversight,and Rules and Administration. [1] She also serves on the Legislative Council and the Violence in Iowa Study Committee. [1]
Sinclair is married. She has a husband,Boyd,and they have three sons.

McKibben was re-elected in 2004 with 14,185 votes (51%),defeating Democratic opponent Wayne Sawtelle. He did not rerun in the 2008 Iowa Senate elections. From 2013 to 2019,McKibben served as a member of the Iowa Board of Regents. In 2017,he considered running for the board presidency,as Bruce Rastetter decided to step down. Michael Richards was elected to succeed Rastetter as board president.
Petricia S. "Pat" Ward was an Iowa State Senator from the 30th District. A Republican,her service in the Iowa Senate began in 2004,when she won a special election to fill the vacancy left when Mary Kramer was appointed to be U.S. Ambassador to Barbados. It ended with her death in 2012. She had a B.S. in Business and Legal Studies from Central Missouri State University.

On July 23,2013 Dandekar announced that she would be running for the U.S. Congress from the 1st congressional district;she lost in the primary to former state house speaker Pat Murphy,who himself lost to Rod Blum.
Robert Mason Hogg is the Iowa State Senator from the 33rd District. A Democrat,he has served in the Iowa Senate since 2007 after having served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2003 to 2007. He ran in the Democratic primary for the 2016 United States Senate election in Iowa,but he lost to former Iowa Lieutenant Governor Patty Judge. In June 2021,Hogg announced his intention to not seek re-election to his seat in 2022.
