Beefhide is an unincorporated community spanning across a county line between Letcher County and Pike County, Kentucky, United States.
A post office was established at Beefhide in 1901, and remained in operation until 1956. [2] The community takes its name from nearby Beefhide Creek. [3]
Beefhide is located along Beefhide Creek which runs east and north out of Letcher County, into Pike County. The Russell Fork is a 51.9-mile-long (83.5 km) tributary of the Levisa Fork in southwestern Virginia and southeastern Kentucky in the United States.
