Brabham Automotive Ltd. was an Australian [1] automaker launched by David Brabham and Australian investor group, Fusion Capital [2] in May 2018. [3] [4] Brabham Automotive is based in Adelaide, South Australia, with representation also in the United Kingdom.

Its first product is the Brabham BT62, which was initially launched as a track-only vehicle. In November 2019, the company announced [5] a Competition version of the BT62 to coincide with its racing debut in the Britcar season finale at Brands Hatch.

Brabham Automotive's manufacturing base is in Edinburgh Parks, north of Adelaide, South Australia.

In 2021, Brabham entered competition in the GT2 European Series with the BT63 GT2. [6]

Brabham ceased operations in early 2024, when Brabham ended relations with a supplier. [7] Brabham Automotive ended due to a strategic difference between its owner Fusion Capital and the company. [8] [9]

He is also brother-in-law to Mike Thackwell, father to Sam Brabham and uncle to Matthew Brabham.

The Mercedes-AMG GT is a series of 2-door grand tourers produced by German automobile manufacturer Mercedes-AMG. The car was introduced on 9 September 2014 and was officially unveiled to the public in October 2014 at the Paris Motor Show. While not directly replacing the SLS AMG, it is the second sports car developed entirely in-house by Mercedes-AMG. The Adelaide Motorsport Festival is an annual motorsport event first held in 2014 using a shortened [1.6 km (0.87 mi)] version of the former Australian Grand Prix and the Adelaide 500 race track within Victoria Park / Pakapakanthi, in the south-eastern parklands of the South Australian capital of Adelaide. The event has attracted the likes of Valtteri Bottas, Ivan Capelli, Stefan Johansson, Pierluigi Martini, David Brabham, Craig Lowndes, Hayden Paddon and more, with categories at the event including Formula 1, V8 Supercars, Heritage Touring Cars and more, taking to the track in demonstration runs.

SRO GT2 is a class of Grand tourer racing cars maintained by the SRO Motorsports Group. Despite the name, this class slots between GT4 and GT3 in terms of performance. The class also shouldn’t be confused with the Group GT2 from the early 2000s. The class uses a Balance of performance to allow for close competition between competitors.
