The Chhattisgarh State Women's Football League is the top division of women's football league in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. [1] The league is organised by the Chhattisgarh Football Association (CFA), the official football governing body of the state. The first edition was held in 2021, [2] [3] which was won by Mata Rukmani Girls from Bastar. [4] [5]

Association football is not the most popular sports in India. The 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup was the first FIFA event the country hosted. It was called the most successful FIFA U-17 World Cup ever, with a record-breaking attendance of 1,347,133, exceeding China's record of 1,230,976 from 1985. Bristol City Women's Football Club is a women's association football team from the city of Bristol. Formed in 1998 as Bristol Rovers W.F.C., they were renamed Bristol Academy W.F.C. in 2005 following the withdraw of support from Bristol Rovers and increased involvement and academy development from Bristol Academy of Sport, part of South Gloucestershire and Stroud College. A second change of name, this time to Bristol City was approved by the FA Women's Football Board in time for the 2016 WSL season. With their home games relocating from SGS College's Stoke Gifford Stadium to the Robins High Performance Centre and now Ashton Gate Stadium. Bristol City Women won promotion to the FA Women's Super League (WSL), the highest level of the women's game in England in 2016 and stayed there for five seasons before being relegated to the FA Women's Championship in 2021.
Kenkre Football Club is an Indian professional football club based in the city of Mumbai, Maharashtra. Founded in 2000, the club currently competes in the MFA Elite Division of Mumbai Football League. Nicknamed "Mumbaikars", they previously participated in the I-League, then highest division of the Indian football league system, as well as the I-League 2, and the I-League 3. Kenkre was relegated to the I-League 2 at the end of the 2022–23 I-League season.
