Eskil Suter (born 29 June 1967) is a former Grand Prix motorcycle road racer and current motorcycle chassis constructor from Switzerland. [1]
Born in Turbenthal, Zürich, Switzerland, Suter finished in second place in the 1991 250cc International Lightweight class at the Daytona International Speedway. [2] Suter had his best seasons in 1994 and 1996 when he finished in 13th place in the 250cc world championship. [1] He raced in one round of the 1997 Superbike World Championship but failed to score any points. [3] In the 1998 500cc season, he was a development rider for the MuZ team that used a Swissauto engine in a French-made ROC frame. When regular rider Doriano Romboni was injured in the second race of the season, Suter took over and scored points in three races.
Suter founded a company named Suter Racing Technology (SRT) in 1996, which specialized in project engineering applied to motorcycle racing. Suter developed, in cooperation with Swissauto, the Muz 500 bike, in particular the chassis design and concept for the 1999 season, after the MuZ team decided to cease using the ROC frame.
SRT was responsible for the design and development of the Petronas FP1 900cc three-cylinder engine; the bike competed in the Superbike World Championship from 2002 to 2005. [4] The company also helped with the development of Kawasaki ZX-RR MotoGP between 2004 and 2006. [5] In 2006 and 2007, SRT was involved with Ilmor Engineering in the chassis design of the 800cc Ilmor X3 motorcycle. [6]
In 2010, with the introduction of the new 600cc Moto2 class, Suter Racing Technology started providing its chassis to the category. [7] Suter won the Manufacturers' Championship in 2010 and 2011, but none of its riders claimed the title. In 2012, Suter claimed its third consecutive Manufacturers' Championship and claimed its first rider's championship when Marc Márquez became the Moto2 world champion.
SRT also built a MotoGP prototype machine for the 2012 season; the bike, powered by 1000cc BMW S1000RR engines, was tested from late 2010 and during 2011 by Marc VDS Racing Team. [8] The bike competed in the top class with a Claiming Rule Team, Forward Racing. [9]

Thomas Lüthi is a Swiss sporting director at Prüstel GP, and former Grand Prix motorcycle racer. He spent 19 years in Grand Prix world championships, becoming one of only six riders to reach 300 race starts, spending much of his career with the Interwetten Paddock team, with who he became the 2005 season's 125cc world champion.
Esteve "Tito" Rabat Bergada is a Spanish motorcycle racer. He is best known for winning the 2014 Moto2 World Championship.
Mika Kallio is a Finnish Grand Prix motorcycle racer, currently serving as the lead test and development rider for the Red Bull KTM team in MotoGP. He debuted in the 125cc World Championship with the Finnish rookie team Ajo Motorsport in the 2001 German Grand Prix and was awarded the "Rookie of the Year" with the team in 2002. After moving to the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team during the 2003 season, he finished runner-up in the 125cc class in both 2005 and 2006, and also finished runner-up in the 2014 Moto2 World Championship. Moving up to MotoGP full-time for 2009 and 2010, he obtained the "Rookie of the Year" award in his first season in the premier class.
Antonio Elías Justícia is a Spanish former professional motorcycle racer and inaugural champion of the Moto2 World Championship. He is the third member of the Elías family to compete in motorcycle racing. He last rode in the MotoAmerica AMA Superbike Championship, where, in June, he abruptly announced his retirement mid-way through the 2023 race-season.
The X3(stylized as the X3) is an 800 cc V4 race bike built by Ilmor Engineering to compete in the 2007 MotoGP series.
The 2010 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season was the 62nd F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. The season consisted out of 18 races for the MotoGP class and 17 for the 125cc and Moto2 classes, beginning with the Qatar motorcycle Grand Prix on 11 April 2010 and ending with the Valencian Community motorcycle Grand Prix on 7 November. It was the first season for the new Moto2 class.

The 2011 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season was the 63rd F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. The 2011 season was also the final season for 800cc engines in MotoGP, and also for 125cc machinery, as both MotoGP switched back to 1000cc engines and a new four-stroke Moto3 class was also introduced in 2012. Casey Stoner was crowned as MotoGP World Champion for the second time, following his ninth victory of the season at the Australian Grand Prix. Stoner, who was champion previously in 2007, finished 16 of the 17 races to be held in the top three placings – equalling a premier class record held by both Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo – including ten wins to become the final 800cc champion before the premier class reverted to 1000cc engines in 2012. As of 2022, this was the last time the premier class was won by a non-European rider, and also the only season in the 2010s decade that the premier class was won by a rider other than Marc Márquez or Jorge Lorenzo. The Moto2 title was decided before the final race of the season at the Valencian Grand Prix. Stefan Bradl became Germany's first motorcycle World Champion since Dirk Raudies won the 1993 125cc World Championship title after Marc Márquez, the only rider that could deny Bradl of the championship, was ruled out of the race due to injuries suffered during free practice at the Malaysian Grand Prix. The final 125cc world championship title went to Spain's Nicolás Terol, after he finished second in the final race of the season in Valencia, and his only title rival Johann Zarco crashed out during the early stages of the race. Terol, who finished third in the class in 2009 and second to Márquez in 2010, ended the season 40 points clear of Zarco, with Maverick Viñales 14 points further behind, after winning the final two races of the season. The season was marred by the death of Marco Simoncelli at the Malaysian Grand Prix.

The Sepang Racing Team (formerly known as SIC Racing Team) was a Malaysian Grand Prix motorcycle racing team which operated until the end of 2021, and was owned by the Sepang International Circuit. First established in 2015 in the Moto3 class and expanded in 2019, it fielded teams in MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 championships. The MotoGP team was formally called Petronas Yamaha Sepang Racing Team (Petronas Yamaha SRT), while the Moto2 and Moto3 teams were named Petronas Sprinta Racing Team (Petronas SRT).

The 2019 FIM Moto2 World Championship was a part of the 71st F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. Francesco Bagnaia was the reigning series champion but he was unable to defend his title as he joined the series' premier class, the MotoGP.
The Suter MMX2 is a prototype racing motorcycle specifically developed by Suter Industries AG to race in the Moto2 series from 2010 to 2018. It had won three constructor's titles in that period of time. The MMX2 is manufactured by Suter Racing Technology, which was founded by Eskil Suter and had considerable racing experience prior to their entry as manufacturers for Moto2.
The 2020 FIM Moto2 World Championship was a part of the 72nd F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. The season calendar has been significantly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to the cancellation or postponement of many races.
The 2022 FIM Moto2 World Championship was a part of the 74th F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. Augusto Fernández won the championship for Red Bull KTM Ajo after the Valencian Grand Prix.
