Nelson railway station serves the town of Nelson in Lancashire, and is situated on the East Lancashire Line 2 miles (3 km) away from the terminus at Colne. The station is managed by Northern, which also provides its passenger service. The station was opened on 1 February 1849 by the East Lancashire Railway as Nelson Inn, Marsden named after the public house adjacent to the station.
Manchester Exchange was a railway station in Salford, England, immediately north of Manchester city centre, which served the city between 1884 and 1969. The main approach road ran from the end of Deansgate, near Manchester Cathedral, passing over the River Irwell, the Manchester-Salford boundary and Chapel Street; a second approach road led up from Blackfriars Road. Most of the station was in Salford, with only the 1929 extension to platform 3 east of the Irwell in Manchester.

Penwortham Cop Lane was a railway station on the West Lancashire Railway in England. It served the town of Penwortham in Lancashire. It was between Higher Penwortham and Lower Penwortham. It was opened by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway in 1911 as Cop Lane Halt. It was renamed to its later name on 30 March 1940 and was closed by British Rail in 1964.
New Longton and Hutton station was a railway station on the West Lancashire Railway in England. It was over a mile from each of the villages of Hutton and Howick Cross.
Hoole railway station was on the West Lancashire Railway in England. It was in the civil parish of Little Hoole about a mile from the village of Much Hoole. It opened in 1882 and closed in 1964.
Hundred End railway station was on the West Lancashire Railway in England. It served the small community of Hundred End, so called because this was where the Leyland Hundred and West Derby Hundred met. It opened in 1878 and closed on 30 April 1962. Trains continued passing through the station until the line was closed in 1964
Wigan Central railway station was a railway station near the centre of Wigan, Lancashire, England.
Wardleworth railway station served the township of Wardleworth in Rochdale, in the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale in Greater Manchester, England, from 1870 until closure in 1947. It was on the Facit Branch between Rochdale and Facit, which was extended to Bacup in 1881. The station was quite well placed for Rochdale town centre and so, in addition to the branch trains, a few other services from Manchester terminated here. Between here and Rochdale station was the Roch Valley Viaduct, now demolished.
Britannia railway station served Britannia near Bacup, Lancashire, England, from 1881 until closure in 1917. The station was just to the west of the summit of the line, which was also the highest point on the entire Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway (LYR) system.
Brinscall railway station was a railway station that served the village of Brinscall, Lancashire, England.
Heapey railway station served the village of Heapey, in Lancashire, England.
Mollington railway station was on the Chester and Birkenhead Railway near to the village of Mollington in Cheshire, England. The station opened on 23 September 1840 at the same time as the railway line and closed to passengers on 7 March 1960 due to its remote location and fairly low passenger numbers. It remained open for goods traffic until 4 January 1965, but only as an unstaffed public siding. The station building still exists as a private house and the line is now operated by Merseyrail as part of the Wirral Line.

River Douglas railway station was a former railway station of the West Lancashire Railway (WLR) on the Southport-Preston Line in North West England, which opened in 1878. The station was near the village of Hesketh Bank, located approximately 550 yards (500 m) to the east of Hesketh Bank station, adjacent to an iron swing bridge on the western bank of the River Douglas.
