The Hillsboro High School, in Hillsboro, New Mexico, is a historic Mission/Spanish Revival-style school building that was built in 1922. It was designed by El Paso-based architects Trost and Trost.
Located on the southeast corner of Elenora St. and First Ave., it has also been known as Sierra County High School and it has been designated SR 1304. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. [1]
The building is now home to Hillsboro Community Center.
It was the first dedicated four-year high school building in Sierra County and the first secondary school open to all county students. According to a 1994 report on historic resources in the county: "Most students were from Hillsboro but a few came from Kingston, Lake Valley and other Sierra County communities. Students from nearby ranches traveled to school on horseback. Some families rented or purchased homes in Hillsboro so that their children could attend high school. Other students boarded in town and by 1924 a "bachelor hall" was furnished for the convenience of self-supporting students." [2] : 17
Hillsboro is a city in Marion County, Kansas, United States. Hillsboro was named after John Gillespie Hill, who homesteaded in the area in 1871. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 2,732. Hillsboro is home of Tabor College, which had 766 students enrolled in Fall 2014.

Sunset Heights is a historic area in El Paso, Texas; which has existed since the latter part of the 1890s. Many wealthy residents have had their houses and mansions built on this hill. Although some buildings have been renovated to their former glory, many have been neglected and have deteriorated. An organization, the Sunset Heights Improvement Association helps neighbors on a fixed income to manage home maintenance and also sponsors an annual tour.

The Deming Armory is a historic armory in the United States, located at 301 South Silver Avenue in Deming, Luna County, New Mexico. The building was built for the United States Department of the Army in 1915–16, and is currently being used as the premises for the local museum in Deming. The armory was added to the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties in 1978 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
NAN Ranch, also known as Y Bar NAN Ranch, is a ranch in Faywood, New Mexico, that was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. The property was developed as a ranch beginning in the late-1860s by John Brockman, who grew corn, alfalfa, and several types of fruit and bred cattle. Cattleman John T. McElroy purchased the ranch in 1927 and hired Trost & Trost to renovate and expand the ranch compound to become the NAN Ranch headquarters. The project included a new house, extensive landscaping, swimming pool, a slaughterhouse, powerhouse, and other residential and ranch buildings. It is historically significant due to its architecture and its role as a major 19th century ranch.

Bowden Hall is a historic building on the campus of Western New Mexico University in Silver City, New Mexico. It was built as a men's dormitory in 1928, and it was named in honor of a member of the board of regents. The bedrooms were later repurposed as classrooms. It was designed in the Mission Revival architectural style by Trost & Trost. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since September 22, 1988.
