Al Rayyan is the third-largest municipality in the state of Qatar. Its primary settlement is the city of the same name, which occupies the entire eastern section and largely surrounds Metropolitan Doha and functions as a suburb. The vast expanse of mostly undeveloped lands in the south-west also falls under the municipality's administration.
Al Gharrafa is a district of Al Rayyan City in Qatar, located in the municipality of Al Rayyan. In close proximity to metropolitan Doha and Education City, the Doha Expressway and Al Shamal Highway run along the district. Many malls operate out of the area, most notably Landmark Mall. To the east it neighbors the largely residential areas of Duhail and Madinat Khalifa North, therefore Al Gharrafa is largely a retail hub for nearby residential areas. Doha's downtown is about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) to the southeast.
Al Shahaniya is a municipality (3299 km2) in Qatar, with its municipal seat has a city of the same name (39 km2). Formerly in the municipality of Al Rayyan, but now an independent municipality, the municipal seat was delimited in 1988 by Law No. 22. In 2014, the cabinet ratified a draft amending some provisions to the 1988 law, thereby formalizing Al Shahaniya as Qatar's eighth municipality.
Al Sadd is a neighborhood of Doha, the capital city of the state of Qatar. As one of the country's oldest surviving mixed-use districts, the neighborhood is home to hundreds of families and residences, and several malls are also found in this vast neighborhood such as the Centrepoint Mall, Lulu Centre and Royal Plaza. The football team Al-Sadd and the Al-Sadd Sports Complex are located here. Rumeilah Hospital and The Children's Hospital are also based in the district.
Al Daayen is a municipality in the state of Qatar. Most of the urban landscape can be found in the southern zone of the municipality, particularly in the city of Lusail, while the northern and central sections are primarily rural. It is one of the fastest growing municipalities in Qatar due to its close proximity to the capital Doha.
Rawdat Rashed is a village in Qatar, located in the municipality of Al-Shahaniya. It was demarcated in 1988. It used to be part of the Jariyan Al Batnah municipality before the municipality was incorporated into Al Rayyan. In 2014, the village was incorporated into the newly-created Al-Shahaniya Municipality. The Dhal Al Misfir cave is located in the area.
Al Wajbah is a district in Qatar, located in the municipality of Al Rayyan. It is 10 miles west of the capital Doha. The village was the site of the Battle of Al Wajbah, a conflict that took place between the Ottomans and the Qatari tribes in 1893. It was blockaded by the Ottomans in March 1893. The main encounter took place later that month in the village's fort, Al Wajbah Fort.
Ad-Dawhah is the one of the eight municipalities of Qatar. It is the most populous municipality with a population of 956,457, and is the municipality of Qatar's capital city, Doha.

Fereej Al Soudan is a district in Qatar, located in the municipality of Al Rayyan. It is mainly a residential area. In the 2015 census, it was listed as a district of Zone 55 which has a population of 283,675 and also includes Bu Sidra, Al Aziziya, Al Waab, New Fereej Al Ghanim, Muaither, Al Mearad, Fereej Al Manaseer, Fereej Al Murra and Al Sailiya. It is also listed as a district of Zone 54.

Hamad Medical City is a district in Qatar, located in the municipality of Ad Dawhah. Together with New Al Hitmi and Fereej Bin Omran, it makes up Zone 37 which has a total population of 26,121. It is administered by Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC). It is closely associated with Rumeilah to the east as it also hosts several of HMC's medical facilities.
Zone 71 is the only zone in the municipality of Umm Salal in the state of Qatar. The main districts recorded in the 2015 population census were Bu Fasseela, Izghawa, Al Kharaitiyat, Umm Salal Ali, Umm Salal Mohammed, Saina Al-Humaidi, Umm Al Amad, and Umm Ebairiya.

Al Messila station is a station on the Doha Metro's Green Line. It serves districts on the border between Doha and Al Rayyan, specifically Al Messila, Al Sadd, New Al Hitmi, and Lebday. It is found on Al Rayyan Road in Al Sadd, across the street from Al Sadd's boundary with Al Messila.
