Morphou is a town in the northwestern part of Cyprus, under the de facto control of Northern Cyprus. It is the administrative center of the Güzelyurt District of Northern Cyprus. Having been a predominantly Greek Cypriot community before the 1974 Turkish invasion of Cyprus, the town is now inhabited by Turkish Cypriots.
Nicosia District is one of the six districts of Cyprus. Its main town is the island country's capital city, Nicosia. The de-facto TRNC-controlled northern part of the district is the Lefkoşa District of the unrecognized Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Bağdat Avenue is one of the most important high streets on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, Turkey. It runs approximately 14 km (8.7 mi) from Maltepe in the east to Kadıköy in the west, almost paralleling the coastline of the Sea of Marmara. The most important part of the street runs 6 km (3.7 mi) from Bostancı to Kızıltoprak within the district of Kadıköy. Bağdat Avenue is usually seen as the counterpart of Istiklal Avenue on the European side of the city in terms of its importance and glamour although it lacks the fine heritage of historic buildings to be found on Istiklal Avenue with almost all its architecture modern.

Republic Day is a public holiday in Northern Cyprus commemorating the declaration of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus on 15 November 1983. The annual celebrations start at 12:00 am on 14 November and continue in 15 November. On 15 November, celebrations are made in all districts of country and representatives from several countries, especially Turkey visits Northern Cyprus and attend the celebrations. Main celebration locations are the Kemal Atatürk Memorial in Nicosia, Nicosia Martyrs Memorial and tomb of Fazıl Küçük.
Çukurca District is a district in the Hakkâri Province of Turkey. The district had a population of 14,333 in 2022 with the town of Çukurca as its seat. Its area is 725 km2. The current district governor (kaymakam) is Hasan Kurt.
