The Mizoram Police Force is the law enforcing agency of the state of Mizoram, India.

Mizoram Police has Three Police Ranges Namely Northern , Southern and Eastern Ranges, which are headed by a Deputy Inspector General of Police Northern , SouthernEastern respectively. [6]

Mizoram Police has two (2) Training Centres. The two training centres are at Mualvum and Thenzawl. Currently, Police Training Centre Thenzawl is the active training centre for its general employees. Officer cadres are sent for training at North East Police Academy (NEPA).
General Basic training courses are for nine (9) months.
Mizoram Police, under Police Modernization Scheme, runs Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems which links every Police station in Mizoram through Wide Area Network (WAN).
Government of Mizoram established Forensic Science Laboratory under the administrative control of Police Department Vide Notification No. A/12034/1/97-HMP dated 31/7/2000. Forensic Science Laboratory, Mizoram started functioning initially with only one division i.e. chemistry, Mizoram FSL now have 8(eight) divisions viz. Chemistry, Questioned Document, Ballistics & Toolmarks, Fingerprint, Photography, DNA/Serology, Toxicology and Cyber Forensics, and headed by Director rank Forensic Scientist. The Laboratory was upgraded to a full-fledged Directorate in March, 2015 which is in par with the guidelines of National Human Rights Commission. [7]

Entries are done at the following ranks:
1. Constables / Lady constables, Sub Inspectors and Lady Sub inspectors: Appointment done through Mizoram Police Recruitment Board.
2. Mizoram Police Service: Officers selected through Mizoram Public Service Commission (Group-A) etc. Examination conducted by Mizoram Public Service Commission are appointed as Deputy Superintendents of Police or higher.
4. Indian Police Service: Officers selected through Civil Service Examinations conducted by Union Public Service Commission are appointed as Deputy Superintendent of Police or higher (up to DGP).

Railway Protection Force (RPF) is an armed force of the Union under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India. The force was established by the RPF Act,1957, enacted by the Indian Parliament for "the better protection and security of railway property and passenger area". It has the power to search, arrest, enquire, and prosecute offenses committed under the Railway Property (Unlawful Possession) Act 1966 and the Railways Act, 1989 (amended from time to time). RPF has also been entrusted with the responsibility of security of railway passenger area and railway passengers since 2004. However the power of arrests under other penal laws rests in the hands of the Government Railway Police (GRP) of each state.

The Superintendent of Police Officer alias Senior Superintendent of Police Officer alias Deputy Commissioner of Police Officer (S.P) alias (S.S.P) alias (D.C.P) is a rank in Indian police forces held by an officer who typically heads a rural police district. Other officers of the same rank may lead specialised wings or units. In cities under commissionerate system, an SP and SSP may serve as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) under the Commissioner of Police. The SP reports directly to the district magistrate (collector), the administrative head of a revenue district, who has general control and direction over police administration. Additionally, an SP sends monthly reports to the Director General of Police (DGP) via the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG).
The Karnataka State Police is the law enforcement agency for the Indian state of Karnataka. It was established in 1965 and is headquartered in Bengaluru, the capital city of Karnataka. The KSP is a state police force that works under the purview of the Department of Home Affairs, Government of Karnataka. The department is headed by the Director General and Inspector General of Police.

Additional Superintendent of Police or Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, is a rank in Indian police forces. The officer holding this rank can be from the Indian Police Service (IPS) or from respective state police services like the Provincial Police Service (PPS), West Bengal Police Service (W.B.P.S.), Odisha Police Service (O.P.S.), Maharashtra Police Service (M.P.S.), Kerala Police Service (K.P.S.), etc.
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) is the civil service training institution in India. The institute trains Indian Police Service (IPS) officers before they are sent to their respective state cadres to carry out their duties. The academy is in Shivrampalli, Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
The State Police Services (SPS) is an umbrella term for police services under different state governments in India. In India, police is a state subject and each state has its own police service.
