The Mortlake line is a closed railway line in the west of Victoria, Australia. Branching off of the main Port Fairy railway line at Terang, then running North to the small town of Mortlake, Victoria.
The original idea for a railway line serving Mortlake was first tabled in the 1870s. The line had been completed, but not used until 1889, when the Mortlake Despatch ran a newspaper article questioning why the line was not yet in operation. The line was officially opened on 4 February 1890. Soon after, additional facilities were provided, such as a windmill, 10 ton weighbridge and stockyards. [1] The Koonendah Railway Station Post Office opened on 1 December 1890 but closed in 1891. [2]
The line was closed to all traffic on Tuesday, 1 August 1978. [3] Dismantling of the line occurred during May/June 1988. [4]

Terang is a town in the Western District of Victoria, Australia. The town is in the Shire of Corangamite and on the Princes Highway 212 kilometres (132 mi) south west of the state's capital, Melbourne. At the 2006 census, Terang had a population of 1,824. At the 2001 census, Terang had a population of 1,859. The population of Terang has since risen according to the 2011 Census; the population is now 2,348, of which 1,155 are male and 1,193 are female, with the median age being 44.
East Malvern railway station is a commuter railway station on the Glen Waverley line, serving Malvern East, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The station, originally called Eastmalvern, opened on 3 February 1929. It was renamed East Malvern on 29 February 1972.

The South Gippsland railway line is a partially closed railway line in Victoria, Australia. It was first opened in 1892, branching from the Orbost line at Dandenong, and extending to Port Albert. Much of it remained open until December 1994. Today, only the section between Dandenong and Cranbourne remains open for use. The section of the line from Nyora to Leongatha was used by the South Gippsland Tourist Railway until it ceased operations in 2016. The section from Nyora to Welshpool, with extension trail to Port Welshpool and a portion of the former line at Koo Wee Rup, have been converted into the Great Southern Rail Trail.

The Port Melbourne railway line is a former railway line in Melbourne, Australia, opened in September 1854, that is now a light rail line. It was instigated by the Melbourne and Hobson's Bay Railway Company to carry passengers arriving in Victoria at Station Pier and to alleviate the high cost of shipping goods using small vessels up the Yarra River to Melbourne. The line's conversion to light rail occurred in 1987; it is now served by tram route 109.

Running from the western Melbourne suburb of Newport through the cities of Geelong and Warrnambool, the line once terminated at the coastal town of Port Fairy before being truncated to Dennington. This closed section of line has been converted into the 37 km long Port Fairy to Warrnambool Rail Trail. The line continues to see both passenger and freight services today.
Bowser is a closed railway station located just north of the city of Wangaratta, on the North East line, in Victoria, Australia. It served as the junction for the Peechelba East and Bright branch lines. The location was finally abolished as a block point after the conversion of the broad gauge line to form a centralised traffic control double track railway in 2010.
Watchupga is a locality in Northern Victoria, Australia. The local government area of Watchupga is the Shire of Buloke. Watchupga has a grain station on the Mildura railway line with a grain silo on the site which is 84 metres tall. However, the station was closed to passenger and parcels traffic on 11 November 1975. Watchupga Post Office opened on 23 July 1900 and was closed on 29 February 1972.
Curyo is a town in the Mallee Ward of the Shire of Buloke, Victoria, Australia. Curyo has a Grain Depot on the Mildura railway line; however, the station closed to passenger and parcels traffic on 11 November 1975. A CFA fire brigade in the area is located on Pratt Road, adjacent to the grain depot. The post office there opened on 20 January 1900 and was closed on 9 January 1976. Curyo used to have a football club and a golf course.
Kinnabulla is a locality located in the local government area of the Shire of Buloke, Victoria, Australia. The population of the locality is 173 people, 91 being male, and 82 being female. Kinnabulla Railway Station was a station on the Mildura railway line. The station closed to passenger and parcels traffic on 11 November 1975. The post office there opened in 1902 and was closed on 11 November 1973.
Koriella was a station on the short Alexandra branch line. When it opened in 1890, the station was called Alexandra Road and a post office operated there from 14 May 1891 until c.1902. The station's name changed to Lily in 1909, Rhodes in 1910, and Koriella in 1916.
