Athlone is a suburb of Cape Town located to the east of the city centre on the Cape Flats, south of the N2 highway. Rondebosch is the only school in the Western Cape to have a Nobel Prize laureate, Allan M. Cormack in Physiology and Medicine.
The M3 is an expressway in Cape Town, South Africa, connecting the upper part of the City Bowl to the Southern Suburbs and ending in Tokai. For most of its route it parallels - though further to the south and west - the M4, which was the original road connecting central Cape Town with the settlements to the south.

Sophy Gray or Sophia Gray, was a diocesan administrator, artist, architect, horsewoman and the wife of Cape Town bishop Robert Gray. Born at Easington in Yorkshire, the 5th daughter of county squire Richard Wharton Myddleton of Durham and Yorkshire, she died at Bishopscourt, Cape Town on 27 April 1871 and was buried in the graveyard of St Saviour's in Claremont. Day 1930 wrote "the constant companion of travels, the untiring amanuensis and accountant, the skilful designer of churches, the brightness and stay of his home life at Bishopscourt."

The Ohlsson's Cape Breweries was a South African brewing company located in Newlands, Cape Town. It was founded around 1881 by a Swedish immigrant and industrialist, Anders Ohlsson. Ohlsson's was bought out by Castle Breweries and merged to form South African Breweries in 1956. South African Breweries continued to sell locally produced beer under the Ohlsson's brand until its discontinuation in the late 1990s.
