Penisa'r-waun is a small village which is located 4 miles to the east of Caernarfon and a mile to the northeast of Llanrug on the A4547 in Gwynedd, north-west Wales.

Education

The village includes a primary school, Ysgol Gymuned Penisarwaun, that instructs around 60 pupils aged between 311. [1] The school is categorised as a Welsh-medium primary school and around 70% of the pupils come from Welsh-speaking homes. [2]

Penisa'r-waun is an electoral ward in the area. The majority of the population is shown as being in Llanddeiniolen community. The total population of the ward taken at the 2011 census was 1,768. [3]

Rhosybol

Rhosybol is a village in Anglesey, Wales. The community population at the 2011 census was 1,078. Located 2.5 miles (4.0 km) south of the town of Amlwch, the village is close to both Llyn Alaw, the largest body of water on the island, and Parys Mountain, the site of the historic copper mines which lies just to the north. It is to the mines that the village owes its existence as it was one of several built to house the miners. During the 1960s noted painter Kyffin Williams produced an oil painting of the village.
