The couple and their two children survived the RMS Titanic disaster after the ship struck an iceberg and sank on April 15, 1912. She was said to be one of the heroines of the tragedy as she, with some of the other socially elite women, assisted in the rowing of one of the Titanic's lifeboats.
The 2013 Protyre Formula Renault Championship was a multi-event motor racing championship for open wheel, formula racing cars held across England. The series will form part of the BARC club racing meetings and expanded from fourteen to sixteen rounds at six events all held in England, with four triple header events.

Clarence Moore was a prominent American businessman and sportsman. In 1909, he built a large home in Washington, D.C. that now serves as an embassy of Uzbekistan. Moore died after a leisure trip to England, on his way home as a first class passenger on the RMS Titanic when it sank in the North Atlantic.
