Sadiq-ur-Rahman Kidwai is an Indian writer, [1] [2] [3] academician and a former dean of the School of Languages, Jawaharlal Nehru University, [4] [5] [6] known for his scholarship in Urdu literature. [7] He is the secretary of the Ghalib Institute, [4] renowned educational and cultural institution in Delhi [8] and a member of the Goethe Society of India. [9] [10] He was honored by the Government of India, in 2010, with the fourth highest Indian civilian award of Padma Shri. [11]
