Srinivas Udgata (born 6 January 1935), is a poet, story and drama writer, painter, novelist and translator from Odisha, India. [1] [2]
He has been awarded Padma Shri award in 2008 by the president of India in 2008 for Literature and Education. [3] He received the Jhankar Award in 1974. [4] In 2002 for his poetry he has received Bharati Bharati Award for his From the Hindi Sahitya Sanstha of Uttar Pradesh. Besides these awards, he has also received the Sarala Award in 2002, Sarala Samman in 2002 and Acharya Vidyasagar Samman from Calcutta. He was honored with Bidhubhusan Guru Smruti Samman in 2022 by Bidhubhusan Guru Smruti Parishad. He received his D.Litt. from Sambalpur University. The title "Vidyavachaspati" awarded by Prayag Sahitya Sammelan, Allahabad, Award from Kendriya Sahitya Akademi, U.P. Hindi Sahitya Sansthan, Lucknow- Souhardya Samman etc. He was president of Orissa Sahitya Akademi [5] from 1994 to 1997. He is continuing as president of Atmaprakashani (A Writers' Association). He has been awarded & honored by more than 100 organisations in India.[ citation needed ]
Dharamvir Bharati was a renowned Hindi poet, author, playwright and a social thinker of India. He was the chief editor of the popular Hindi weekly magazine Dharmayug, from 1960 till 1987.

The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest Indian civilian award of Padma Shri in 1974.
Leeladhar Jagudi is an Indian teacher, journalist and poet of Hindi literature. He is the author of several poetry anthologies including Natak Jari Hai and Shankha Mukhi Shikharon Par and is a recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award, for his 1997 anthology, Anubhav Ke Aakash Mein Chand. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2004, for his contributions to Hindi literature.
Giriraj Kishore was an Indian writer, who was awarded the Padma Shri by the president of India in 2007. He lived in Kanpur and served as the registrar of IIT Kanpur. He was given the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1992, the Vyas Samman in 2000, and an honorary Ph.D. by Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University in 2002.
Binapani Mohanty was an Indian Odia language writer and academician. She was well known for her works such as Patadei and Kasturi Mriga. She was a professor in economics before retiring. She had been awarded Padmashree by the Government of India and Atibadi Jagannatha Das Sammana by Odisha Sahitya Akademi. She had earlier won the Sahitya Akademi Award and Sarala Award. She had served as chairperson of Odisha Lekhika Sansad.
Manorama Mohapatra was an Indian writer, poet, and editor, working primarily in the Odia language. She wrote forty books consisting of novels and poetry, and edited an Odia newspaper, The Samaj. She was the recipient of several literary awards, including Odisha state's highest literary honor, the Odisha Sahitya Akademi Award in 1984. She was the first woman to be elected president of the Odisha State Sahitya Akademi, a literary organization for the state of Odisha.
