Vijay Dutt Shridhar is an Indian journalist, writer and the founder of Madhav Sapre Museum of Newspapers and Research Institute. [1] [2] He was honored by the Government of India, in 2012, with the fourth highest Indian civilian award of Padma Shri. [3]
Vijay Dutt Shridhar was born in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. He is a former director of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication and has served as the editor of Navbharat Times, a national daily in Hindi. He has also been a member of the Press Gallery Committee of Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha for around 20 years. [1]
Shridhar founded Madhavrao Sapre Samachar Patra Sangrahalaya evam Shodh Sansthan (Madhavrao Sapre Museum of Newspapers and Research Institute), a museum and research institute, [2] in Bhopal in 1984. [1] The institution started in a small rented place with the journals, newspapers and periodicals totaling 73 in number, donated by his teacher, Rameshwar Guru, has, over the years, grown to be housed in an 11,000 sq. ft facility holding 17,000 titles. [4] It has since been approved by many universities as a research centre for journalism related studies and is funded by the state and central governments. [1]
Vijay Dutt Shridhar, who is involved in social activism, [5] has authored four books, [6] Bhartiya Patrakarita Kosh, [7] [8] a 2 volume chronicle of the history of journalism in the Indian subcontinent from 1780 till 1947, Shabd Satta [9] [10] a historical narrative of 150 years of journalism in Madhya Pradesh, and the third one, Choutha Padav, the history of Bhopal covering 1000 years. [1] His latest work, Pahela Sampadkiya, is an anthology of editorials appeared in various Hindi newspapers with Shridhar's commentary. [1]
Shridhar received the Bhartendu Harishchandra Award for his work, Pehla Sampadakiya, in the Mass Communications and Journalism category in 2011. [11] [12] The next year, in 2012, the Government of India awarded him the civilian honour of Padma Shri. [3]
Sachchidananda Hirananda Vatsyayan, popularly known by his pen name Agyeya, was an Indian writer, poet, novelist, literary critic, journalist, translator and revolutionary in Hindi language. He was awarded the first Sahitya Akademi Award in Hindi for his work Him Tarangini in 1955. The Government of India awarded him the civilian honour of the Padma Bhushan in 1963. Ashok Vajpeyi is an Indian Hindi-language poet, essayist, literary-cultural critic, apart from being a noted cultural and arts administrator, and a former civil servant. He is generally seen as part of the old Delhi-centric literary-cultural establishment consisting of bureaucrat-poets and academicians like Sitakanta Mahapatra, Keki Daruwalla, J.P.Das, Gopi Chand Narang, Indra Nath Choudhari and K.Satchidanandan.
Ved Pratap Vaidik was an Indian journalist, political analyst, and freelance columnist. He worked with the Press Trust of India, and was the founder and editor of its Hindi news agency "Bhasha". Before that he was the editor for views for the Navbharat Times of the Times Group. Later he was the chairman of Bhartiya Bhasha Sammelan. He was born in Indore on 30 December 1944, and died in Gurugram, Haryana on 14 March 2023, at age 78.

Balmohan Vidyamandir was founded on 3 June 1940 by Late Shri. S.D.Rege alias “Dada” as he was fondly known amongst his students, parents and the community, was a teacher par excellence. The School was named “Balmohan Vidyamandir”. “Balmohan” being coined from the names of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi and “Vidyamandir” meaning a temple of learning. Today, the name “Balmohan Vidyamandir” is synonymous with being the leading cultural and educational hub of the State of Maharashtra, India.
Sushil Kumar Jain known professionally as Sushil Doshi is an Indian journalist, writer, sports commentator and the first cricket commentator in Hindi. Born to Niranjanlal and Madan Kunwar at Indore, in the second largest Indian city of Madhya Pradesh, he graduated in engineering from Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS) Indore and started his commentating career in 1968 at the Nehru Stadium for a Ranji Trophy match between Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. Over the years, he is reported to have covered nine Cricket World Cups, 85 test matches and over 400 One Day Internationals, besides several Twenty20 Internationals. His contributions are reported in making cricket commentary in Hindi popular. He has also written two books in Hindi on sports, Khel Patrakarita published in 2003 and Cricket Ka Mahabharat, published in 2016.

Sheoraj Singh Bechain is an Indian poet, short story writer, and essayist. When he started writing and progressing academically, he adopted the pen name "Bechain". He was appointed Professor on an unreserved position in the Department of Hindi at the University of Delhi in 2010 and became the first Dalit Professor in the department. He is currently serving as the Head of the Hindi Department at the University.
