The senate is composed of 100 members:

Election

Senators are indirectly elected by an electoral college comprising members of local councils, with the country's 14 regions consisting of 12 provinces plus the capital of Tashkent and the semi-autonomous Republic of Karakalpakstan each electing senators to fill 6 seats. Senators serve five year terms. [1]

Svetlana Baymirzaevna Artikova( was born on January 1, 1962, in Uchkurgan District, Namangan Region) is a lawyer, public and political figure, senator, and Deputy Chairman of the Senate. Since November 7, 2019, she has been appointed Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
