Sonora FM is a Indonesian radio network that broadcasts news and information 24/7 and is owned by KG Radio Network. The network officially went on air on August 8, 1972. [1] Its the Slogan "News, Traffic and Music".

History

The transmitter tower of Kompas Gramedia's Perintis Building in Jakarta, where the central broadcasts of Sonora FM and Smart FM, as well as Motion Radio, are transmitted]] Sonora went on air on August 8, 1972 on the MW band (via 1145 KHz or 262 meters) using a studio at Jl. Gajah Mada No. 109, West Jakarta. [3]

On May 1, 1991, Sonora officially moved to the FM band with frequencies of 100.9 Jakarta and 97.75 Surabaya.

On February 14, 2000, Sonora broadcast non-stop 24/7.

On August 1, 2004, Sonora moved to new frequencies of 92.0 FM Jakarta and 98.0 FM Surabaya.
