Towaco is an unincorporated community located within Montville Township in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. [4] The area is served as United States Postal Service ZIP code 07082. Its name reflects the Native American history in the area, which identified the locale as TaWagh, meaning "hill", a reference to the terrain of Towaco. [5]

Contents

The Towaco station offers NJ Transit rail service along the Montclair-Boonton Line. [6] It essentially replaced the abandoned Montville station. The train station has been renovated.

In Towaco is a location of the leading manufacturer of machines and plants for the foam industry. This American location is called Baumer of America, Inc. and is one of the biggest employers of the city. [9]

Towaco is a station on NJ Transit's Montclair-Boonton Line located between U.S. Route 202 and Whitehall Road in the eponymous neighborood of Montville Township, Morris County, New Jersey. The station opened as Whitehall in 1870 along the Boonton Branch of the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad, and assumed its current name in 1905.

Boonton High School is a comprehensive four-year public high school that serves students in ninth through twelfth grades from Boonton, in Morris County, New Jersey, United States, operating as part of the Boonton Public Schools. The school is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools until July 2029 and has been accredited since 1928.

James P. Vreeland was an American Republican Party politician who served four terms in the New Jersey Senate after a term in the New Jersey General Assembly. He served in the Senate from 1974 to 1984, representing the 24th Legislative District until 1982, and then served one term representing the 26th Legislative District. Vreeland also served a term on the Morris County, New Jersey Board of Chosen Freeholders from 1970 until his resignation in 1972.

The Nicholas Vreeland Outkitchen is a historic stone building located at 52 Jacksonville Road in the Towaco section of the township of Montville in Morris County, New Jersey. Built c. 1780, it was documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey in 1938. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 11, 2009, for its significance in architecture. The building contributes to the domestic architecture theme of the Dutch Stone Houses in Montville, New Jersey Multiple Property Submission (MPS).
