On May 23, 2024, the Reform Party of the United States of America selected Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as its 2024 nominee for President of the United States at its convention. [1] [2] [3] [4] Kennedy withdrew his candidacy on August 23, 2024, and was removed as the Reform Party's presidential nominee. [5]

The Reform Party of Florida regained its ballot access in June 2024, giving Kennedy and his vice presidential nominee, Nicole Shanahan, a spot on the Florida presidential ballot. [6] There was little opposition to the nomination, with the only objection coming from a group of self-described "Reform Party activists" requesting another convention. [7]

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced his campaign for the 2024 United States presidential election on April 19, 2023. An environmental lawyer, writer, and member of the Kennedy family, he is known for advocating anti-vaccine misinformation and public health conspiracy theories. He initially ran for the Democratic Party nomination, but announced on October 9, 2023, that he would run as an independent candidate. On March 26, 2024, Kennedy announced Nicole Shanahan as his running mate. On August 23, Kennedy largely suspended his campaign and endorsed Donald Trump.

The 2024 presidential campaign of Chase Oliver formally began on April 4, 2023, following the formation of an exploratory committee in December 2022. He officially received the presidential nomination of the Libertarian Party on May 26, 2024. Oliver is a libertarian political activist, as well as a sales account executive, and HR representative. He was the Libertarian nominee in the 2022 United States Senate election in Georgia and the 2020 Georgia's 5th congressional district special election.

Jill Stein, a physician from Massachusetts, announced her entry into the 2024 United States presidential election on November 9, 2023. Stein had been the Green Party nominee in 2012 and 2016. In 2012, she received 470,000 votes. In the 2016 election, she received 1.46 million votes.

In the 2024 United States presidential election, different laws and procedures govern whether or not a candidate or political party is entitled to appear on voters' ballots. Under Article 2, Section 1 of the United States Constitution, laws about election procedure are established and enforced by the states. Additionally, there are often different requirements for primary and general elections, and requirements for primary elections may additionally differ by party.

The Party Party of Rhode Island is a Rhode Island-based American political party founded in 2023 by broadcaster, entrepreneur, and theology professor Tony Jones.
