Asia Aquatics, [1] formerly Asia Swimming Federation (AASF), [2] oversees international aquatics competitions in Asia, and is affiliated to the Olympic Council of Asia [3] and to World Aquatics. It was founded in 1978 in Bangkok; [2] and currently has its administrative headquarters in Muscat, Oman.

World Aquatics, formerly known as FINA, is the international federation recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for administering international competitions in water sports. It is one of several international federations which administer a given sport or discipline for both the IOC and the international community. It is based in Lausanne, Switzerland.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">LEN European Aquatics Championships</span> European championships in swimming

The European Aquatics Championships is the continental Aquatics championship for Europe, which is organised by LEN—the governing body for aquatics in Europe. The Championships are currently held every two years ; and since 2022, they have included 5 aquatics disciplines: Swimming, Diving, Synchronised swimming, Open water swimming and High diving. Prior to 1999, the championships also included Water polo, which beginning in 1999 LEN split-off into a separate championships. The open water events are not held during the Olympic year.

It was founded on October 31, 1924. It is affiliated to FINA, the Asia Swimming Federation, the Japanese Olympic Committee and the Japan Amateur Sports Association.

Piscines Bernat Picornell is a swimming venue situated in the Olympic Ring in Montjuïc, Barcelona. The venue consists of three swimming pools: a 50m indoor pool, a 50m outdoor pool, and a pool for diving. It hosted the swimming events, synchronized swimming events, the water polo final, and the swimming part of the modern pentathlon event for the 1992 Summer Olympics.

The French Swimming Federation is the French water sports association. Founded in February 1919, it grouped the sports swimming clubs, open water swimming, synchronized swimming, diving and French water polo, which organizes the national competitions and the selection of French teams. In 2017, the Federation had 316,905 members. The FFN is a member of the European Swimming League (LEN) and the International Swimming Federation (Fina). Since April 2017, the FFN is chaired by Gilles Sezionale.

The 9th Asian Swimming Championships was held 15–25 November 2012 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was the second time that Dubai hosted the Championships; the city previously hosted in 2004. The 10th Asian Swimming Championships will be held in 2016 in Japan.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Turkish Swimming Federation</span>

The Turkish Swimming Federation is the governing body of the five aquatic sports, namely swimming, diving, synchronized swimming, water polo and open water swimming in Turkey. It was founded in 1957. The Turkish organization is member of the European Swimming League (LEN), the International Swimming Federation (FINA) and Turkish Olympic Committee. The TYF is based in Ankara and its current chairman is Associate Erkan Yalçın.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2023 World Aquatics Championships</span> 20th World Aquatics Championships

The 2023 World Aquatics Championships, the 20th edition of the World Aquatics Championships, were held in Fukuoka, Japan, from 14 to 30 July 2023. Originally scheduled to be held in 2021 as the 19th championships, the championships were postponed until May 2022 in response to the rescheduling of the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was pushed back a second time to 2023 due to ongoing travel restrictions and safety measures in place in Japan. In its place, Budapest hosted the 19th Championships from 18 June to 3 July 2022, while the originally scheduled 2023 championships in Doha, Qatar, were moved to 2024.

The Asian Water Polo Cup is an international water polo tournament, organized by Asia Swimming Federation (AASF).

Singapore Aquatics is the national governing body for competitive swimming, diving, synchronised swimming, water polo and open water swimming in Singapore. SAQ is also charged with selecting the Singapore Olympic Swimming team and any other teams that officially represent Singapore, as well as the overall organisation and operation of the sport within the country.

The Swimming Federation of India (SFI) is the national governing body for aquatic sports in India. Legally, it is a non-profit association registered under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1861. The federation holds elections for its office bearers every four years. The SFI currently oversees competition in the sports of swimming, masters swimming, synchronized swimming, diving, high diving, and water polo. It is affiliated to FINA, and the Asia Swimming Federation (AASF).

The FINA Water Polo World Rankings is a ranking system for men's and women's national teams in water polo. The teams of the member nations of FINA, water polo's world governing body, are ranked based on their competitions results with the most successful teams being ranked highest.

The Asian Water Polo Championship is an international water polo tournament, organized by Asia Swimming Federation (AASF). It has been the Asian continental qualification for the Olympic water polo tournament since 2012.

Water polo is a full-contact sport played in many countries around the world. The sport's international governing body is FINA.

The Armenian Swimming Federation, also known as the Water Kind of Sports & Swimming Association of Armenia, is the regulating body of swimming in Armenia, governed by the Armenian Olympic Committee. The headquarters of the federation is located in Yerevan.
