Cumbria County Council in England was elected every four years between 1973 and 2017. Since the last boundary changes in 2013, 84 councillors were elected from 84 wards for the last council before abolition in 2023. [1]

Bournemouth Borough Council was the local authority for Bournemouth in Dorset, England between 1974 and 2019. Prior to 1974 Bournemouth had been a county borough within Hampshire. Under the Local Government Act 1972 Bournemouth became a non-metropolitan district within Dorset on 1 April 1974, with the same boundaries as the former county borough. On 1 April 1997 it became a unitary authority, taking over the functions previously provided for the area by Dorset County Council. Kent County Council elections are held every four years to elect Kent County Council in England. Since the last boundary changes in 2019 the council has comprised 81 councillors representing 72 electoral divisions, with each division electing one or two councillors.

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council elections are held three years out of every four, with a third of the council elected each time. Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council is the local authority for the metropolitan borough of Dudley in the West Midlands, England. Since the last boundary changes in 2004, 72 councillors have been elected from 24 wards.

One third of Harrogate Borough Council in North Yorkshire, England was elected each year, followed by one year without election. Since the last boundary changes in 2002, 54 councillors had been elected from 35 wards. The last elections were held in 2018, ahead of the abolition of Harrogate Borough Council on 31 March 2023. Its functions transferred to the new North Yorkshire Council. The first elections to the North Yorkshire Council took place on 5 May 2022, when 21 councillors were elected from 21 divisions in the Borough of Harrogate.

The council was elected every four years from 1973 until 2020. At the time of its abolition, the council had 59 councillors, elected from 33 wards.

Barrow-in-Furness Borough Council in Cumbria, England, was elected every four years. This was changed in 2011 from the previous situation where one-third of the council was elected each year, followed by one year where there was an election to Cumbria County Council instead.

St Edmundsbury Borough Council in Suffolk, England, was elected every four years. After the last boundary changes in 2003, 45 councillors were elected from 31 wards. The council was abolished in 2019, with the area becoming part of West Suffolk.

The Borough Council of Wellingborough in Northamptonshire, UK was elected every four years. After the last boundary changes in 1999, thirty-six councillors were elected from 16 wards. The council was abolished in 2021, with the area becoming part of North Northamptonshire.
