Jach'a Jawira (Aymara jach'a big, great, jawira river, [1] "great river", hispanicized names río Jachcha Jahuira, río Jacha Jahuira Caxata, río Jachcha Jahuira de Caxata) which later is named Q'ara Qullu and Waña Jawira is a Bolivian river in the La Paz Department and in the Oruro Department. Its waters flow towards Uru Uru Lake.

Aymara language native language in South America

Aymara is an Aymaran language spoken by the Aymara people of the Andes. It is one of only a handful of Native American languages with over one million speakers. Aymara, along with Spanish, is one of the official languages of Bolivia and parts of Peru. The river originates near the mountain Wisk'achani in the La Paz Department, Loayza Province, Yaco Municipality. Its direction is to the south while it flows along the border of the Ichoca Municipality of the Inquisivi Province and the Yaco Municipality. Some of its affluents are Ch'iyar Jawira ("black river", Chiar Jahuira), Wari Umaña (Wari Umana) and Wich'inka Jawira ("tail river", Huichinca Jahuira) from the left and Urnuni (Hornum, Hornuni) from the right. After Qallun Uma (Callun Uma), a left tributary, reaches Jach'a Jawira in the Caracollo Municipality of the Cercado Province the river is named Q'ara Qullu ("bare mountain", Caracollo). Within the municipality it later receives the name Waña Jawira ("dry river", Huana Jahuira). [2] [3] [4] [5]

Wisk'achani is a 4,674-metre-high (15,335 ft) mountain in the Bolivian Andes. It is located in the La Paz Department, Inquisivi Province, Ichoca Municipality, and in the Loayza Province, Yaco Municipality. Wisk'achani is situated south-east of Caxata.

The Jach'a Jawira is a river in the La Paz Department of Bolivia, south of Wiñaymarka, the southern branch of Lake Titicaca. It is a tributary of the Desaguadero River.

Katari River which upstream successively is named Jach'a Jawira, Colorado, Mani and then Colorado again is a river in the La Paz Department of Bolivia, about 90 km long, southeast of Lake Titicaca. It empties into Wiñaymarka Lake, the southern part of Lake Titicaca.

Thuru is a 5,179-metre-high (16,991 ft) mountain in the Andes in Bolivia. It is located in the Oruro Department, Challapata Province, Challapata Municipality. It lies south-west of the mountain Wawachani and north-west of the mountains Wichhu Qullu and Wila Qullu.

Wila Qullu (Chunkara)

Wila Qullu is a mountain in the Andes in Bolivia, about 5,060 metres (16,601 ft) high. It is situated in the Oruro Department, Challapata Province, Challapata Municipality, Challapata Canton. Wila Qullu lies south-east of the mountains Thuru and Wawachani and north-west of Wichhu Qullu. It is situated north of Chunkara Lake.

Jach'a Qullu is situated south-west of the mountains Wila Willk'i, Malla Qullu and Janq'u Qalani (Jankho Khalani). It lies west of Malla. The river Jach'a K'uchu Jawira flows along the northern slopes of Jach'a Qullu.

Quta Qutani (Bolivia)

Quta Qutani is a mountain in the Bolivian Andes, about 4,600 metres (15,092 ft) high. It is located in the La Paz Department, Loayza Province, Malla Municipality. Quta Qutani is situated northwest of the little town of Malla and the mountains named Malla Qullu and Wila Willk'i and northeast of Kunturiri. The Jach'a K'uchu Jawira (Jachcha Khuchu Jahuira) originates east of the mountain. It flows along its southeastern slope and to the southwest as a tributary of the Malla Jawira.

Jacha Qullu (Ingavi)

Jach'a Qullu is a 4,305-metre-high (14,124 ft) mountain in the Chilla-Kimsa Chata mountain range in the Andes of Bolivia. It is situated in the La Paz Department, Ingavi Province, Jesús de Machaca Municipality. Jach'a Qullu lies near the Jach'a Jawira valley north-east of the archaeological site of Qhunqhu Wankani.

Challa Qullu (La Paz) mountain in Bolivia

Ch'alla Qullu is a mountain in the Chilla-Kimsa Chata mountain range in the Andes of Bolivia which reaches a height of about 4,660 m (15,290 ft). It is located in the La Paz Department, Ingavi Province, Jesús de Machaca Municipality. Ch'alla Qullu lies northwest of Chhuxlla Willk'i. The Ch'uñu Jawira originates near the mountain. It flows to the south as a right affluent of the Jach'a Jawira.

It is a right tributary of the Achuta River which originates near the Chilean border and flows northeast to reach the Mauri River.
