Orvar Bergmark was a Swedish football defender, manager and bandy player. He was the second Sweden national manager, and as manager to qualify the Sweden national team for the FIFA World Cup in Mexico 1970, after having beaten France in the qualifications. The 1970 World Cup was the first one for Sweden in 12 years, and it was also the first time in 20 years that Sweden had qualified for a World Cup. Rink bandy is a variant of the larger sport of bandy. Unlike bandy which is played on a large bandy field, rink bandy is played on significantly smaller ice hockey-sized ice rinks.
GAIS Bandy is the bandy section of sports club GAIS from Gothenburg. In 1920, GAIS won the Gothenburg district championship, but the club had not had an active bandy department for years when it took up playing bandy again in 2005.
The Swedish Bandy Association is the governing body of the winter team sport of bandy in Sweden.
